The food was excellent. It was very fresh and the portions were big. I had The fish which was very well grilled and juicy. My boyfriend had the steak tartar and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was great and the waiters were very friendly.

The menu is quite extensive by Swiss standards and they offer a variety of seasonal dishes. Needless to say, there is something for everyone. The food is of high quality and the portions were very decent. It is on the pricier side but you get what you pay for, which makes this restaurant totally worth it. The restaurant is definitely... The Brasserie Bärengraben has it all: a scenic setting just next to the Bärengraben (Bear pit) across the bridge from the old city; a gourmet menu (Michelin and Gault & Millau rated); good wines; excellent service; a high but not exorbitant price range. The menu is obviously French-inspired (especially the appetizers), and there is an excellent selection of meat and... More

We enjoy going there with the kids after visiting the bears. The food is nice, the service can be slow, as it is crowded most of the time.

When I booked the Brasserie Barengraben I thought it was going to be on the other side of the road where the bear park is. There as a restaurant over there basking in the evening sun but it was packed and there were no tables available. We had a table booked for 7.30 pm on the terrace at the Brasserie... More

Followed trip advisor reviews and thoroughly enjoyed. Struggled with the German menu but kind English speaking staff helped us. We thoroughly enjoyed our fried goat cheese salad and read and then proceeded to a fish and chicken entree. Finished the evening off with tiramisu and a chocolate pie of sorts. Even though we didn't speak German they were very kind... More

Our family had a wonderful time at this restaurant. Staffs were very friendly and my two young children loved their entertaining jokes, especially from one Italian waiter who regretfully we forgot to ask his name. We visited the restaurant on Saturday for lunch and it was quite packed, mostly with locals. We made the reservation via mytable.com and got good... More

It is a small restaurand located nearby one of the main tourist attractions in berne, the bärengraben. The location can easily be reached by foot from the main station in about 10 minutes. My experience was that the starter and main dish were good, but not overwhelming. But the desserts were excellent. Even if you are a person which does... More

The food and atmosphere are superb, particularly if you have the chance to dine outside on the terrace. The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is in French with a German description underneath. The dishes are beautifully presented and taste delicious... highly recommended!
