Very small Restaurant, but very fine.

Book in advance, this is a Restaurant for serious eaters. There are just enough places for about 30 people, unless you want to sit on someone`s lap. The kitchen itself is smaller than my Bathroom, but it turns out some serious Gastronomic fair.

A.D. 2015, Bern, the Bundesstadt (Federal City) of Switzerland, whose official languages are German, French, Italian, and Romansh: the wait staff of the #15 restaurant on TripAdvisor only speaks German; no English, no French and, of course, no Italian or Romansh; our menu was in German and French, but given that our waitress didn’t speak French, and we don’t speak... Food is very good and the restaurant is very nice and charming. Unfortunately the service was very average. In the past there was a more matching servant while no the person was very faceless and nothing special. Not very good but also not not very bad. But again the food is very good so for the food is always worth... More

We walked in there on a busy and warm and late Friday evening. Without a reservation we managed to get a table for 2. The reception was courteous and effective. The menu gives a wide range of typical ‘brasserie’ options and the wine list is extensive, as it boasts wines from all over Europa and of course Switzerland. We went... More

I've eaten here many times, outdoors on the pretty patio in summer, indoors in the cosy bistro-style restaurant in cooler months. The food is always good. I usually have the entrecote with herb butter and pommes allumettes. Unfortunately, I usually don't have space left for dessert, which I'm told are as good as they look (check out the glass case... Went here for lunch, sat in the terrace outside, received attentive service and the food - a goat cheese salad and the duck breast was excellent - good portions, beautifully served.

The food was excellent. Everything was well prepared and large portions. Clearly not for tourists, since the place was filled with locals, which speaks highly if it.

Had an excellent meal in this really old established restaurant here in Bern, opposite the Bear Pit. This really bis a quality restaurant with very efficient staff and the food was awesome. Excellent selection of traditional dishes and a very nice wine selection. I opted for a tasty salad starter that we all shared and then I had the Calves... More

I totally loved this place. It's is located next to the bears' pit, and it has sort of a nice view. Inside it is cozy and nicely decorated, the staff is very friendly and speak English, French, and German. The food was very good as well. I asked for some duck thighs with honey sauce, which was delicious. My wife... More
