Had a dinner with my book club at this place. The staff was carting and nice! We felt seen. Wine was super and the food very good. Can recommend a visit to this restaurant winter as well as summer!

Great place if you don't want the normal fare available in Basel. It's location is fantastic, right on the banks of the Rhine River, and just down from the "Three Kings Hotel - Le Trois Rois." The menu changes based on the season for the specials. There is a standard menu. The asparagus offerings in March were excellent, and the... More

the restaurant is a beautiful spot and very central, but the food is just OK. Portions are scarse, ridiculously expensive and the restaurant manager was rude. The worst dish was the creme brulee, it smelled of rotten egg. Avoid if you dont' like overpriced meals, there is much better around Basel for half of the price.

We enjoyed the lovely outdoor tables and view of the river but it took well over an hour to be served the daily special. Also three out of the five in our party were not served the soup that came with the special until 30 minutes after the first two had been served. The daily vegetarian special, a baked potato... Nice little wine bar on the Rhine! We went there for drinks one night and lunch on another occasion. If the weather's nice sit outside and enjoy the river scenery. They offer average prices for Basel and service was quite good.

We had dinner here - sitting on the terrace. Beautiful view of the Rhine and of Basel. Service was fair. We sat for awhile before a server came. He gave us menus in German. After asking several questions, he offered menus in English. My wife had salad with king prawns, which was very good. I tried the steak tartar, which... More

I spent around three hours in this restaurant on the banks of the Rhine with four other business colleagues. The atmosphere, service and quality of food and wine was excellent. I'll return the next time I visit Basel.

Really enjoyed a business dinner here. Nice atmosphere and good food. Nice view on the river too. I had the wild boar and some great red wine. Didn't eat dessert but it looked good to. Would go again.

... In white wine that is! Had some delicious fish with Petit Arvine. The staff is competent and very friendly. Will certainly return again
