The Minamoto is an excellent place for a business lunch, but it's good for dinner as well. The service is very good and friendly, although staff are not always good English speakers. The food is well thought out and well presented, with a reasonably varied menu, and specialties in ramen noodles. This is a dependable and consistently good quality restaurant... More

We went there with a group of about 20 people. My tuna on rice was pretty good, the small ramen was nothing special but not bad either. Service was rather quick and smooth. I was annoyed that the servant put lots of ice in my drink without asking first. The ice cream was rather good. Altogether this is a good... More

We went to this restaurant at 9pm having previously reserved a table, however, when we arrived we found that we were one of only three parties and that there was plenty of space to chose from. The Black dining rooms and White dining rooms were empty so as it was a warm evening we joined the other guests in the... More

I went there two weeks ago and had a good experience. It is not cheap, but the food is reaonalbly priced (for Switzerland, you will have an other point of view, if you don't live here). As a starter, I had the Sashimi CHF 20.00 which was good followed by the chicken with mushrooms which was more than just good.... More

We have dined here several times and found it pleasant. The food quality is good. The dishes are well prepared, with signs of complexity and modernism, and one can feel that there is passion and love behind. That is always a good sign for any restaurant. I wouldn't say the cuisine offered is typically Japanese but certainly adapted for the... More

Located in front of the German railway station, you don't expect to find such a nice corner. The service is friendly and the menu is quite diverse. Definitely a discovery for those who like Japanese food. However, if you expect to find a big selection of sushi, you may be disappointed.

I went for lunch with a friend during the week. The restaurant is very modern and looks new. Tables are well spaced out so you dont feel crowded. Service excellent. I had the special of the day, ie mini ramen and dun-bori: all very tasty and ireally liked the combo. This is a nice place if you want to try... More

Had lunch there with colleagues for an informal working lunch. Restaurant is modern though welcoming and worm. The menu offers a lot more than sushi. We tried different things, soups and curry were well prepared and presented. They don't have a dessert menu, but only offer ice creams. That was the only flaw.

way too different in taste from the one you get in Japan, unfortunately. Ramen had no taste, never had carrots in california rolls, the beer was tasteful (even if it's brewed under license in the Netherlands). Service far from the one you would expect from a real Japanese restaurant, it does not reflect the real culinary art that can be... More
