lucky to get a cancelled reservation we had a most wonderful meal. attention to detail was prominent and the food was authentic and perfectly cooked. Friendly service made us want to return the next night, sadly for us they were fully booked for several nights hence. No surprize, top marks!

Authentic Italian restaurant with excellent pasta. My Carbonara dish was prepared with homemade rigatoni, Roman Guanciale bacon, egg and pecorino. That's unusual in Switzerland, but really tasty! Prices are a little bit high, even though the pasta is really fantastic.

I was considering either 3 or 4 points for this restaurant but choose to rate it with 3 points because of their little choice (and only expensive ones) of starters. We wanted to order a ordinary green salad but this was not possible, instead we ordered the Caprese for 21 Chf. The primi piatti was a good portion and really... More

A very unassuming place on the 1st floor. Close tables and the window tables are best for couples. Food menu is limited but whatever is served is wonderful. The Zabaglione is mouth watering and to die for. Probably the best Italian food in Basel

My visit to Aroma was 'functionally' OK and there were a lot of groups of people in there who seemed to be having a good meal experience. I suppose some restaurants feel better than others for solo diners.

Choice: disapointed to see very limited menu with mainly pasta dishes. I would have expected more diversity including risotto or some special dishes from a particular Italian region. Value: overpriced compared to other Italian restaurant in Basel Food: my dish was pretty good especially if the pasta was home made (but couldnt determine) but the portion was way too small.... It is a nice Italian restaurant located in a second floor in a building in old town of Basel. Everything was good but not unusual- what you get in a lot or restaurants in Italy. The prices were almost double of what you pay for the same food and wine in Rome!

My final night in Basel I was solo and looking for a good meal after a few authentic Swiss dinners. It was a beautiful night so I did not mind the walk along the Rhine across the bridge to a neat little area of town. It is on the second floor which took me a minute to find. It was... More

We had dinner here by tripadvisor app. The menu is very limitted. Very few to choose. But the main problem is the taste and the price. Very very average taste at over price. Don't waste your time and money here. The night before we had dinner at 5 signori and it is Superb. Worth every cent. The taste is wonderful.... More
