My Italian colleagues are covinced this is the best lasagna outside of Italy. Excellent antipasto bar. Right near Bahnhof SBB
Business traveller dining alone, went here on advice from advice from the hotel where I stayed. The food was excellent, not the best I've had, but delicious. Staff was super friendly, very attentive above most European standards of service.
Thank you for your positive feedback. The "Da Roberto" team appreciate it very much. We look forward to your next visit. More
We chose Da Roberto because it was close to our hotel. The room was nice and the service friendly and efficient. The food was just OK -- more like Olive Garden quality than a good Italian restaurant. The price, $80, for two entrees and two glasses of wine seemed pretty high, but then everyplace in Basel was expensive.
The pizza and wine were great here. It is actually a more upscale restaurant and the other offerings also looked great. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have a reservation for lunch but they fit us in to an already packed house. We will return.

It's a little tucked away behind the main station square and the Hotel Euler...and as other reviewers have stated, some of the other stores around look a little seedy...but that's nothing to be concerned about. We came here for a quick business lunch. Both times I've visited it's seemed... More
Just a good pizzeria a couple of minutes away from the station (the neighborhood looks a bit seedy but is apparently quite safe). Over the last few years I've eaten there about 10 times, ordering pretty much the same thing every time: salad or antipasti as starters, pizza as main course, sometimes dessert (+ beverage and coffee). Count 40 to... More
Have dined here several times and like the food but find it rather expensive. convenient location close to railway station.
On a visit a year ago we had a big disappointment with their pasta. Our 2 main pasta dishes felt as if they had been taken out of the freezer and re-heated , while not being fully thawed. So this time we were wary – no pasta! Should you stick to the minestrone, freshly baked pizzas and excellent wine by... More
