Nice dinner in Basel

We stayed for only 1 day in Basel and I saw this restaurant on tripadvisor. The dinner was great. The waiter was just providing a great service altogether. Be aware though Switzerland is quite expensive and so is this restaurant. Would come again for sure.

The quality and the service was just perfect. You pay the swiss price but you get swiss quality. We tried the a la carte and the bistro area. We do prefer the bistro menu.

Had a late supper here. Arrived at 9:45 pm so they told us we would have to order of the smaller more casual menu. But when asked they let us sit in the nicer table cloth, lit candle area. Hubby got Wiener schnitzel (as he wanted) and I got home made chic cordon blue. Both were done to perfection and... More

This restaurant is one of the best I've even dined in. The service is quick, attentive and pampering. We were enlightened by the staff on our wine choice, and our taste buds were delighted! I had the salmon with spaghetti and butter sauce as a main course and I dare say it was far better than any salmon recipe I... More

The location is great, just a couple of minutes walk from the town hall. The building is steeped in history and the restaurant ambience is very pleasant. Service is efficient if a little formal, but the food is a bit hit and miss. A good appetiser was followed by a distinctly average main course of veal and a long wait... More

Really really good. Great service, Great Risuto with prawns. They serve you a few apps for free, not sure what they are but they are nice. Wine was great. They were accommodating for my baby. I will go back to the Key guild, and bring people here when they are in town. The only watchout here is a compliment to... More

This was recommended by concierge at hotel and it was wonderful. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Better food and service than a tourist restaurant that cost the same.

Knew we would be in Basel on a Sunday and wanted to make certain I would have reservations for a great meal. Read all TA reviews and knew this would be the perfect spot, near hotel and the Christmas Markets. Not so much was open on Sundays so this was a rare find. Very good food and service. Enjoy. Very... the restaurant is set in an old guildhouse set in the city centre behind the town hall. The service and food were excellent with a well balanced menu complemented with a decent wine list. It is expensive patly because its switzerland and partly because of the quality of the produce, that said its worth splashing out. Its the little touches... More

We visited the restaurant with business partners from abroad. All were very impressed by the historic, yet renovated interior outfit. The service was very attentive, from the first minute we entered the place. The menu offers a great choice of meals and wines. Prices were high, however if you compare other top restaurants in Basel they were ok. The quality... More
