One of my favourite places to eat

The menu is a little confusing and you have to order carefully, but the food itself is always expertly cooked and beautifully presented. Their orange posset is one of the best desserts I've ever tasted.

Really good food and really friendly here. Not sure the service was on par with the quality of the food and considering the pub was busy, there was no atmosphere - trying too hard to be cool?????

We went here for a birthday treat, and what a treat. The food is delicious - I can recommend the Pork tenderloin from the August menu. The staff are incredibly polite and very helpful, often asking if their are any questions regarding the menu. All in all a first class night out. We'll be coming back for Sunday lunch with... More

First and last visit to this establishment the food was very average for the price. in fact have had far better at Wetherspoons (not a place I frequent often) They put a 10% service .charge on without your agreement after all this is a village pub

Buried in the heart of the Hampshire countryside this pub is worth the journey. Rather strange menu set out in narrative form but staff are at hand to explain. For anyone who is interested, a hogget is a sheep between one and two years old, and so a kind of cross between lamb and mutton. We had the 72 day... More

I always enjoy dining at Purefoy Arms because even if a dish doesn't work you have to applaud them for originality and for pushing the boundaries. It's adventurous cooking, which is exciting and that's what I'm looking for when I eat out. My starter was a medley that included layers of crab and puréed broad bean and avocado: Unforgettably delicious.... More

Really disappointed with our visit to Purefoy Arms. The meal was okay, it was more the setting, especially for the price we ended up paying. We were a group of six. They pushed together three tables with really thick legs so we we had to shout to each other to be heard. We were also placed just behind the bar... More

My wife and I decided to trial the Purefoy Arms for lunch last Wednesday before we meet up with two friends here in August. I know you can't tell a book from its cover, but on pulling up in the car park, the outside of the place seemed neglected. We looked at each other but we had driven 40 miles... More
