Really disappointed with our visit to Purefoy Arms. The meal was okay, it was more the setting, especially for the price we ended up paying. We were a group of six. They pushed together three tables with really thick legs so we we had to shout to each other to be heard. We were also placed just behind the bar... More

My wife and I decided to trial the Purefoy Arms for lunch last Wednesday before we meet up with two friends here in August. I know you can't tell a book from its cover, but on pulling up in the car park, the outside of the place seemed neglected. We looked at each other but we had driven 40 miles... More

I'd visited this restaurant a year ago with my wife, but it's outside my normal budget. The "Pork crackling with apple sauce" had caught my sons eye on the website menu, and so we made that the starter, followed by the rib for two. We were very impressed by the food and the service. The waitress (?) was very knowledgeable... More

Second time we have visited the purefoy arms, both on the tail-end of Blissfields festival which lives about 10 mins down the road. We booked for 8 including 3 vegans and 4 vegetarians, which can sometimes be a bit of a hassle in other places, yet they were more than happy to accommodate us and, we were stoked to see... More

What an absolutely wonderful restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, as soon as you walk through the door you're made to feel special and welcome. And as for the food, wow. This review comes after a visit for Sunday lunch and wow, what a Sunday lunch it was too. Perfectly cooked, stunning ingredients and the flavours, absolutely amazing.... More

I was taken here for my birthday dinner, as a surprise. Warm welcome as we entered the pub. Good service from a friendly, amusing, knowledgeable waiter. Very different menu, with a Spanish influence, good choice of wine. The plaice with parmesan crust and the stuffed squid were excellent. Not the place to go to if you want standard pub grub... More

8 of my family dined at the purefoy, it was one of our best family meals out in many years. Even my dear granny enjoyed it who is 92. The food is British with Spanish twists I would say, the service was so friendly and the price was reasonable considering the quality of the food. The food though was the... More

Visited a few weeks ago for Sunday lunch. Was very pleasant but I feel that the quality of the roast did not match the regular menu. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Interesting menu for starters.Main dishes were very over priced although the scollops were delicious ,the turbot the size of a fish finger was dry and over cooked.(Rick Stein turbot larger and superb)Long intervals between courses.Pleasant enough staff and good ale and lager, also wine list adequate. We were not that impressed over all.
