Good Italian food :0)

On first appearances its not the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant, rather old fashioned in fact, 1970's old fashioned. But the people and the food are great, try the T-Bone steak, its done to perfection and they have a good wine list and good prices.

We were staying in the neighborhood while visiting Perugia and found the Osteria through TripAdvisor. This is a very nice restaurant, something that you would expect in Perugia. The inside decor is modern and tasteful, like the food. The menu is more limited that you find in the standard local restaurant. But they have been more creative in the food... More

A new favorite this year. Amazing dishes like the terrina di foie gras, steaks, salmon...a fresh take on high quality local umbrian products. The antipasto rocks - Luigi slices brilliant prosciutto and the selection of cheeses is unbelievable. He spoons gorgonzola directly from its gigantic wheel, or local goat's cheese thereby allowing us to create this custom made antipasto misto. Beautiful... More

The Meat is fantastic, and also the selection of wines, we tried the ice cream with Rum to finish a lovely evening sitting outside

During our recenty stay in the region Perugia (Bosco) we went several times to this restaurant. The food is authentic and excellent and the price is correct. Signor Luigi (the man in charge and also speaking English) has a wide choice of wines (in the restaurant each region has its own 'winewall' with prices from €12-14 and up. If you... More

Very local taste, but with a touch of sophistication. We liked the combination of serving a limited choice of dishes with only local ingredients, although with further imagination. For instance, the tiramisu had chocolate chips. Prices could be lower but it is worth trying it. We spent E 25 each for a pasta with lamb ragu, wine, and dessert. The... More

Friends have been telling me about this place for over a year now and finally I went. I was really pleased with the fish. I ordered the dentice (snapper), which was grilled to perfection with lemon. The vegetables that accompanied the fish had an Asian flavor, which was quite good. The care for the table setting and menu were modern... More

In Bosco Luigi runs a very nice restaurant. Almost always busy because of the good quality of the food and that at a modest price. A wide range of wines (Luigi's passion) is available. The staff is friendly and all contribute to the fine sphere that makes you feel welcome. It's one of my regulars in the neighborhood of Perugia.

We were a family group of 8 including 2 young children. We found Luigi not very accommodating to requests concerning the children - unusual In Italy. The pasta was good but all the other dishes were nondescript and disappointing, especially as they had been talked up by Luigi. The marinated beef dish, a speciality, was reminiscent of school dinners! The... More
