Quaint and cozy, good food, good people

Found this place our first night in Perugia, walking from our B&B toward the Centro. They were hosting a graduation party for about 20 people, but never made us feel ignored. When the lone server was busy with the group, the chef brought out our entrees, with a smile. Features a limited menu... read more

Like Alon B's, my experience here was not satisfactory. In a busy season (the last day of Umbria Jazz), I was the only person in the place, yet the service was slow. Loud pop music on the radio annoyed me. I ordered tagliata con rucola e pomodorini; without a word about unavailable ingredients, it came with banal chopped lettuce and... More

A local recommended this place and I was not disappointed. We got the mixed antipasta for two, followed by tagliata con rucola a pomodorini and it was all outstanding. Wine prices were reasonable. Service was extremely friendly. Would definitely go back.

Counting on the positive reviews this restaurant had, we found this restaurant pretty easily. Unfortunately, it was only after we settled down that we noticed the unpleasant odor in the restaurant. Also, the loud trite 80s pop music wasn't easy on the ears (considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, it was a bit weird they didn't turn... More

The restaurant is cozy. Between the two of us we split two pastas, a bottle of water, and a bottle of white wine and spent $26 in total. The pasta was amazing, it was very fresh and the sauce was good. We couldn't decide what to order so we had the waiter help us and he was very kind and... More

The menu offers a (limited) choice of very well prepared and presented good food. The restaurant in the basement just outside the main tourist area near Corso Vanucci is relaxed. The staff is very kind. Both food and wines are offered at a reasonable -even low- price. A restaurant not to miss while being in Perugia and surroundings for a... More

Hosted in a nice medieval building in the old center, furnished with simplicity and taste, big rooms with brick vaults, with room enough for a good privacy (at least when we had dinner there). Typical regional food, good, well presented and served. We had a very well prepared pasta with black truffles, among the rest. The check was absolutely reasonable... More

My wife and I had just taken a long walk through Perugia's old city, looking at the wonderful architecture, old houses, and twisting streets. We were tired out after about four hours of walking. We were near one of the major arches and started walking back to the historical city center. We stopped at this restaurant, because it looked appealing.... More
