We scheduled a wine tasting of Umbrian wines with Allesandro and learned more than in all the winery visits we had. His wine selection is vast, his knowledge honestly distilled and practical for a wine consumer and the pairing with food in his restaurant was fantastic. A highlight to our food/wine odyssey in Umbria.

Food was SO delicious. The best we have had in Italy. Great selection of beer as well and waitresses are delightful. Must eat here!

After a disappointing start to eating outside my hotel in Perugia I was extremely pleased to have had a totally satisfying experience at this restaurant. The waitress was charming and assisted with the menu so willingly. The food was delicious ..if you have not had a wonderful meal in Perugia let alone Italy, then do make a visit here. The... More

Although the carpaccio of beef served on a bed of lovely fresh greens was delicious, the pasta on the daily menu was the second time in two days that we ran into a flavorless sauce. Small tubes of pasta (sedanini) were served with rancetto (a local pancetta) that wasn't bad but a "sauce" of tomato, red onion, and cubes of... More

There's no shortage of places to eat in Perugia but this one is tucked away down a side street and is run as an adjunct to the wine and beer shop which is at the front of the premises. It's very simple food but with top class ingredients and nippy service. Perfect for lunch.

I talked to the owners about their philosophy of cooking, which is local, local, local (to the province of Umbria). And the food was great, and the wine and beer that I chose were both amazing.

this restaurant applies Slow Food philosophy to the core. All ingredients are local, the great wine selection is also local. Recipes are dragged from local traditions and revisited keeping in mind you are in the heart of Umbria region. The owner and the staff are very friendly and natural. A "must" place to go if you're in Perugia

We found this place in a Rick Steve's book and it didn't disappoint. The homemade pasta was some of the best we had in Italy and the staff was friendly. The upstairs is cute and the wine shop downstairs is great too for local wines. If you're driving through the town or staying a night, I recommend this gem -... More
