Nothing could make up for the complete lack of welcome or even acknowledgement that we experienced on arrival. In truth the food was pretty good and well-priced but the visit could never be more than adequate after that. The oversized chairs and tables are excruciating.

Food was outstanding!! This place and La Taverna were truly the 2 best restaurants in Perugia in my opinion. We had to return for about 4 days in a row since they get booked fast. You can also shop for wine and food items there. Very unique place. Had the pasta w/ zucchini and tomatoes and the chicken cooked in ?balsamic... More

We scheduled a wine tasting of Umbrian wines with Allesandro and learned more than in all the winery visits we had. His wine selection is vast, his knowledge honestly distilled and practical for a wine consumer and the pairing with food in his restaurant was fantastic. A highlight to our food/wine odyssey in Umbria.

After a disappointing start to eating outside my hotel in Perugia I was extremely pleased to have had a totally satisfying experience at this restaurant. The waitress was charming and assisted with the menu so willingly. The food was delicious ..if you have not had a wonderful meal in Perugia let alone Italy, then do make a visit here. The... More

Although the carpaccio of beef served on a bed of lovely fresh greens was delicious, the pasta on the daily menu was the second time in two days that we ran into a flavorless sauce. Small tubes of pasta (sedanini) were served with rancetto (a local pancetta) that wasn't bad but a "sauce" of tomato, red onion, and cubes of... More

There's no shortage of places to eat in Perugia but this one is tucked away down a side street and is run as an adjunct to the wine and beer shop which is at the front of the premises. It's very simple food but with top class ingredients and nippy service. Perfect for lunch.
