THIS SLOW FOOD OSTERIA IS EXCELLENT

We dined here early with a reservation, which we recommend you get, and it began getting full just after when we arrived...on a Wednesday. The food is a fresh sheet so it is all good. We had the cheese attester plate with of pate of chicken and veal and fig jam. We split the Saccottini pasta... read more

This osteria is tucked at the back of the bottle shop. It specialises in local produce and wine. We had to book the night before as they were full the first night we tried. The food was excellent, starting with the meat and cheese platter or the mini bean soup. We had the pasta and the rolled lamb as main... More

This is certainly the second best restaurant in town and very fun and casual in style. The food was excellent both times we went there during the month of November and the scene was vibrant with locals. I am sure on many occasions the actual quality and presentation rivals La Taverna but provides a more relaxed dining experience.

We have been here twice already and made reservations again when our friends from Ferrara come. This is a restaurant that you have to make reservations in advance as it is full every night because the food and wine are so good and reasonably priced. They are from the "slow food" movement which started in Italy. The only minor complaint... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and we were not disappointed. My husband and I had delicious pasta dishes accompanied by an excellent Montefalco red wine. Our server had little English but was very friendly and willing to try explaining things to us; we really appreciated that and it made the experience even more fun. Really good ambience with... This was a restaurant we were looking forward to visiting - often a recipe for disappointment. In this case it was a really interesting establishment with knowledgeable and friendly staff and a clever interior design. The tables had paper place mats with explanations of the cuts of meat and types of dishes - a clever way to help inform us... More

Firstly, the food was great and very reasonably priced, and 2 glasses of wine I let my waitress select to accompany the two courses were lovely. The menu is full of local, seasonal ingredients However, while my waitress was delightful and helpful, i got the impression that the owners and most of the other staff would prefer that the place... My wife and I spent a wonderful evening here during a long stay in Perugia and this place lived up to its reputation. The food was really delicious, simple and lovingly cooked. It felt like being welcomed into a family home. These people really care about food. Enjoy! We are going back.

In addition to Trip Advisor, Osteria a Priori came highly recommended to us by several Perugians. We made reservations the day of and while the main dining room was full we were offered seating at a high top table set up on the main floor (which functions as a wine and olive oil shop during the day). This seating turned... More
