Even in a country and a province with generally great food, this small unassuming osteria takes first prize. We went for lunch and let the waiter create our menu from the specialties of the day. My husband and I found this from Trip Advisor reviews when we were in Perugia last Sept. on vacation. When we find our way to Perugia again, we will definitely head back here. The variety and quality of food, using local ingredients (from the veal to the garbanzo beans) was wonderful. We felt spoiled for choice and it was one... More

My wife and I ate here based on TA reviews and were so happy with the choice we came back twice in our week stay near Perugia. The ambiance both in the upstairs vault and at the street side tables was great, as were our meals. Wait staff was friendly and helpful, and spoke enough English to make ordering very... More

We read glowing reports from T.A. and booked a table. The waitress Elenora talked us through the menu and helped us choose. What a sumptuous meal we had with locally produced ingredients cooked to perfection. The wine list was equally breathtaking and when the final bill arrived the price was not expensive at all

This popular osteria off the main drag in Perugia can prove difficult to eat at. My wife and I tried to eat there for dinner, but they were already fully booked. I would recommend reserving in advance and enjoying. The selection of wine is copious, with lots of local Umbrian selections. The food, though, is the main take. There are... More

Our first meal in Perugia- with my adult family of 6, and it will be hard to beat. We let owner pick our starters, pasta, deserts and local Umbria wine (white, red, and desert wine) and everything was OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS. Also the atmosphere just the right mix of being "nice" while being informal. And the price was... More

Looking for flavoursome food accompanied by amazing wine? Look no further than Osteria a priori. Convenient location in the heart of Perugia, this family run business offers a great choice of dishes at reasonable prices from appetising starters to mouthwatering deserts. All their ingredients are sourced locally and their menu' greatly celebrates the Umbrian region. Topped up by friendly service,... More

We enjoyed the vaulted ceiling of upstairs dining room (make a reservation--this place fills!). We normally order carafes of house wine, but because of excellent list of local wines, we hiply accepted waiter's recommendation (and were not disappointed). Umbrian food that goes an extra kilometer. Portions are generous--share!

This place was really nice. Totally informal, and great service. The food was also great, and the prices were significantly lower than La Taverna, and the service nicer

Excellent service, delicious plates and awesome place. A hidden gem in a hidden "vicolo" of Perugia. I have to say that respect other Italian cities Perugia was not so excited but this osteria is worthing a visit in order to have a lunch or a dinner. Tasteful "tortelli" & "fettuccini" and "agnello" of high quality. A big list o wines,... More
