I had dinner here alone one night. The atmosphere is both elegant and relaxed -- I was very comfortable. I ate soup and salad -- a fantastic vellutata -- and saw others eating beautiful thick steaks, so there is really a great range of options, all high quality. Very helpful, friendly staff, and a beautiful bar, all in an ancient... More

This was the restaurant we were sent to when our first choice was fully booked. The service was attentive and friendly and the food an interesting twist on Umbrian food.

Soup with small white beans was great, everything else average. The atmosphere was calm and staff was very helpful.

We were just wandering around looking for a place that looked good fro dinner and we found this tucked away in a corner. It is small and very cozy. The servers were super friendly and helpful. We shared a Margherita pizza for an appetizer which was very good, and flavorful. Then we both had the tagliatelli with black truffles. It... More

Found this restaurant very easily, away from main tourist area. Many Italians eating here, som tourists. Happy to give us both Italian and English menus without asking. Quick service and turnover of tables around us. Some diners had a full 3 course meals, others much less. Quick service. Different meals for the area, as well as usual Italian menu. I... More

We went here for lunch one day as it didn't look overly touristy. The pasta that I had wasn't overly great however the pizza that my husband had was the best I have ever tasted. The food was well priced and the service was good.

This is slightly off the beaten track but is well worth going too. It's particularly nice sitting outside on a warm evening. The food, especially the truffle pasta (with lots of truffle shavings!), was delicious and excellent value. The waiters were all lovely and happy to speak either in English or Italian (we were practicing our Italian), even if the... More

My husband and I ate dinner here one evening, it was raining after yet another thunderstorm so we had to sit inside which is lovely at the top but a little dingy in the room where we were. The restaurant is just off a side street to the left of the cathedral and on the left down a small slope.... More

We have eaten at this hidden-away restaurant on a number of occasions over the past few years and have always been satisfied - and our most recent visit was no exception. During the Umbria Jazz Festival all the restaurants are packed to bursting - and some struggle to keep up standards and just churn out food with a slacking of... More

If you are visiting the region of Umbria you can't miss this restaurant in Perugia. I was looking for truffles and wild boar and an italian friend of mine suggested me to visit Il Cantinone. I followed his advise and decided to book a table. The experience was a great surprise. Although being located in the middle of the main... More
