Good restaurant right in hotel.

Surprisingly good restaurant right in the hotel. Sundays seem to be an "off" day (chef probably not in that day), but even then it was quite good.

We took one of the degustazione and we were treated to a delicious and very filling dinner of different courses. Each plate was abundant and well-presented. I loved the simplest of them all, the spaghetti al pomodoro! The tomatoes used are of excellent quality.

il Gradale is the second restaurant on the beautiful site of the Castello di Monterone. The first is the one Michelin star restaurant Il Postale (warmly recommended). The menu of Il Gradale offers a nice range of different food and a pleasantly complete wine list (although the wine ordered was not available). The well presented food is however served by... More

To be honest we were a bit skeptical as whoever decorated the interior hopefully was not paid with such a beautiful surrondings the restaurant interior is well just bad. Buuuuuuut I cannot fault this place as the food and service was top notch! Our meals were excellent, the staff was great and value well great as well. We are quite... More

A very positive dining experience if you go on the "seafood" nights,Tuesday and Friday I think. Meat dishes are pricey, small portions, and fair as far as flavor is concerned. The seafood special is very flavorful, excellent portions, and good value. Excellent staff and a restaurant with vista of Perugia.

My husband and I we're lucky enough to be the 1st diners in the restaurant the evening we visited. We were greeted by a very friendly, and proffessional waiter. We liked how compared to a lot of Italian eateries, the tables were spaced a good length apart from each other creating a romantic, and intimate dining experience. The music was... More

My boyfriend and I ate at Il Gradale while staying at the adjoining Castello de Monterone, not having high expectations for the onsite restaurant. However, we were blown away by the impeccable service, delicious food and reasonable prices we found. It would also be fun for non-hotel guests to go poking through the castle grounds afterwards. Highly recommended for hotel... More

This was my favorite meal among many wonderful meals during a 3-day trip to Umbria. The food was outstanding and creative, the service attentive and friendly, and and the view from the terrace is spectacular.

The menu is very particular and various without being weird, great food combination and quality. Most of the dishes are typical "Umbria style". Excellent starter of cheeses, superb desserts with a pleasant final surprise: a mix of many little cookies and sweets. Intimate and cosy atmosphere, great service and great value for money. It's worth a visit even just to... More
