Great restaurant

We loved this wonderfully charming small restaurant right next to the Fontana Maggiore in the city centre. The food was great. We have decided to get something to eat and drink some wine and were accidently in the near. They have very good wine list and some simple dishes. Wine & Water arrivied very fast. Soup of the day was great & simple. Cucchini caprese was very good and a some kind of creative arranged. Nice & friendly service - very... More

We happened upon this restaurant walking back from the Temple of Sant' Angelo. The restaurant seemed charming from the exterior but how good is the food???? I had Amatriciana and I can tell you that it was excellent. what a great lunch spot. It is very relaxing the our waitress was very kind and attentive.

Found this by accident and absolutely loved the food here. We ate here probably at least five lunches. The quality of the food was extraordinary, and the service was excellent. I obsessively ordered the Farro Salad every day as my starter/first course. All items ordered were of a very high standard including their desserts. As far as dessert, I especially... More

Just off the main square, we wandered in and were offered a wonderful table with a view over the square. Filled with locals and very sweet waitress (though her English wasn't all that much better than our Italian). Simple, delicious and well priced, even if one of our meals was nothing like what we'd expected... Would definitely recommend.

This was our last meal on our Tuscany & Umbria trip - eleven restaurants and almost all of them were delightful. La bottega del vino was no exception. Small, rather dark, with lots of old wood panelling and full of atmosphere. Our lovely young waitress (whose name I have unforgivably forgotten) was so friendly, enthusiastic and informative, we were made... More

This is hidden upstairs and was filled only with locals. Their menu is small which is fine because the emphasis is on the vast wine selection. They do taste some wines but honestly, they're not that great. The great stuff is the wine you can buy to take home or open at dinner. I love this place. Come here to... More

I called ahead to reserve a table for 10 and we had a private room when we got there. The wine selection is huge, they have bottles stacked along the walls organized by region. Wednesday night is Live Jazz night and the atmosphere is intimate and classy. Order the Pasta Norcia in the winter. They have typical Umbrian dishes and... More
