Pizza in medioeval court

We spend a quiet lunch during a work day. Place was nice and inspiring about middle age times. We chose a rustic tagliere of traditional hams and cheese pizza with mushrooms and ham and an half liter of good simple red wine of house.

Medieval ambience with mediocre food. Went for lunch and veal was very fatty and not well prepared or presented, a slightly sweet gravy trying to help its taste. Roasted potatoes were more like large roasted fries, poorly seasoned and been sitting too long prior to serving. Pork chop adequate with a green salad consisting of only one ingredient - washed... The place is nice: medieval walls and arches. The service is good and prepared. The pizza is huge, but too wet for my taste. The taste was good, truffles are great here, just too much tomato sauce. Wine was great too. Price affordable

It was an average meal with very average if under-average service. I have been to Assisi several times and this was my first time here. The setting is a lovely midieval stone arched room(s) but the food does not match the splendor. The service is not as attentive as it is at many other places and I was here on... More

This restaurant is sited not too far from the Piazza del Comune and was a nice surprise as our expectations of good value food in Assisi weren't high. We ate there twice in the end - both times pizzas which were good quality and the overall environment and service were good. The first night we'd been one of the first... More

After 8 trips to Italy, I have learned that once you find a place that you enjoy you should return to indulge yourself again. We had both lunch and dinner here and on both occassions we had well prepared basic italian food that could not be faulted for freshness of flavour. While there was nothing original or creative, it was... More

The service is good and this place has a unique atmosphere. The food is amazing and they do have gluten free options.

We stumbled accross thrice pizzeria in Assisi after failing to find our way to Perugia! The pizzas were straightforward thin and well cooked. We ate in a room that had Evidence of Roman walls and floor (below glass) which made the meal very interesting.

Went there for lunch and the pizzeria was closed. My friend ordered the hamburger and I had the carbonara with asparagus. We shared a supposedly large rocket salad. The place was nice and quiet, away from the crowd. Had a medieval feel to it. When the food came, we realised hamburger came with no buns but had fries on the... More

This pizza place is abit off the beaten path down to the left as you head toward the basilica de san Francesco. When you walk in you are walking down into a completely stone building with a feel that this place has been around for a long time. We found this place by accident on our last trip and searched...
