A delightful eatery tucked into the hill. Up the street from the Basilica is this small place serving wonderful food.
We were lucky enough to drop in and get a table. There are only 14 or so tables and many folks were turned away. Make a reservation if you want to eat here. There was one waiter and he covered the whole room and did it with style. We had the gnocchi and the tagliatelle pasta and the meat from... More
We found a good place, the waiter is polite and efficient! Ask him for a good wine. Taste the tipical food and choose this one instead of Camino Vecchio :( He offered us Limoncello at the end.
A very nice restaurant very close to the "Basilica di S. Francesco" just in the centre of Assisi. We ate really good typical local dishes, and it was really not expensive. the ambience and the owners are really nice. Everything was perfect!
Their gnocchi with gorgonzola and truffle shavings is heavenly! Friendly service and nice ambience as well. Ricotta with nutella dessert was delightful. A very nice meal and evening had by all, young and older!
The food and wine were outstanding, but the service was equally as good. It was the perfect 2.5 hour lunch with friends after walking the beautiful town of Assisi. We could not have been more impressed with the whole afternoon.

Our meal was a culinary treat from our appetizers to dessert.... More
My fiance and i thought that the gnocchi gorgonzola was the best either of us had eaten! It was so fresh and fluffy, and the sauce was amazing! We also managed some lovely lamb cutlets & beautiful house wine- a great great meal and very reasonably priced.
The menu is very limited and the place pretty simple, but the food is tasty and cheap and they have a good wine list. I liked the chef's gnocchi and the fried chicken.
This was recommended to us by our hosts at a Terrazza Del Subasio. In the week we stayed in Assisi, we ate there twice. The food was amazing. The first night I had the pappardelle with wild boar sauce - superb! My husband started with an ice cold beer, which we found rare in Europe, then had the 18E fixed... More
