We found this ristorante almost by accident and it was a great find! It's off the main square in this beautiful town, up a side street, but is well worth the visit! The dishes were all Umbrian delicacies made from local fresh ingredients and everything we had was superb! It has a very nice restful ambience and the service was... More

It is always disconcerting when there are no other diners in the restaurant. Our hotel made the reservation. Food was really quite ordinary as was the service. One wonders if there was even a chef on duty. We really should have gone back to where we'd had lunch.

This place is hitting on all cylinders right now. Great service by the professional staff was appreciated. The decor is understated, but also relaxed, refined and attractive. We loved the green pasta with artichokes, which over-delivered in flavor. The eggplant dish was prepared with a nice touch and showed refined notes. The pigeon was an absolute home run here, cooked... More

At the outset I was touched by the waiter who invited us in with an ironical inviting smile. The place is aesthetically very Umbrian. The food nice and hot and the price ib must say quite reasonable! Go for it!

One of my all time favorites......gourmet food in delightful setting. Make reservations so you don't miss this dining experience. Catia, owner/chef, does a wonderful job; she keeps traditional items on the menu, but isn't afraid to create new taste delights. Alfredo greets you and keeps the dining room running smoothly; he's helpful/respectful and believes good food & wine are to... More

We had a dinner in this restaurant following suggestion of our hotel (with 10% discount). Location was inspiring good medioeval feeling with its nice entrance. However inside lights were too strong and athmosphere wasn't really medioeval. It seemed more a 70's Italian restaurant. We ordered 2 starters and 2 first dishes "a la carte". Dishes were served with good coreographic... More

I was anticipating a wonderful meal in this highly rated restaurant. My antipasti of eggplant with mozzarella and red sauce was lukewarm and not that tasty. Elsewhere it had been so good! The cannelloni stuffed with meat and chicken in a cream sauce was very good but my secondo course of grilled pork was tasteless and very close to too... More

Great food, great service, great location just off the main square of Assisi. Never past up a pasta and truffle first course in Umbria. Share it and hold room for the main course. You will not be disappointed. The meats of italian hill towns can't be beat. Highly recommended.

My daughter lives in Italy part time and loves this restaurant. I've returned on many occasions and find it to be a lovely experience. Catia, the owner, chef, is just delightful. Her creations in the kitchen are yummy! The interior of restaurant includes ancient Roman ruins, to be viewed thru window in floor....plus the lovely Roman arches of the ceiling.... More

A Michelin star restaurant at a Trattoria price. This is THE restaurant to try in this town of many excellent restaurants. Unbelievable good food from the truffle pasta to the pigeon in anchovy sauce - just brilliant. Even the desserts were amazing. So worth the $$. Would rate it higher than excellent if I could.
