First course was strangozzi with truffles and it was excellent, second course was a mixed selection of grilled meats which was very good. Good, not great service, house wine was a bit pricey and no outdoor dining options were the only drawbacks.

I have written my review under the establishment of "ristorante medioevo." From what I can tell it's the same address so have a look under that link if you want another opinion.

I had a wonderful dinner here. Highlights: rigatoni with a cream sauce, sausage, and truffles, and the steak 'Medioevo' style. The service was just right. As someone else mentioned, the house wine was also good.

Ate dinner here twice. Very pleasant place with attentive staff and excellent food. Particularly liked the truffle and Porcini mushroom dishes. Wines by the glass were outstanding Umbrian wines.

This was our second visit to this great restaurant in the last two years. Staff a friendly, efficient, and very good. Food is excellent; house wine very good. Remember, the meats of Umbria are wonderful and never turn down a pasta dish with truffles (sharing the pasta leaves room for the secondi plati). You will never replicate the truffle experience... It's nicely decorated. I was there on 12 Sep. We were served (preordered menu as we were a big group) a couple of pastas as well as pork with potatoes all very delicious. Perhaps the dessert wasn't the best ever but still a great meal. Waiters were pretty attentive as well. I can't speak about the prices as I didn't... More

Down a flight of stairs, just off the Plazza del Commune (the main square) you enter a the restaurant with 2 barrel vaulted rooms, one ceiling from the 900's the other from the 1300's. The local Umbrian cuisine food and menu selection is excellent but not outstanding. Service was great and Massimo, the manager, interesting to talk to. He loves... More

This was one of my husband's favorite meals during our recent trip. The salad and pasta was fresh and tasty. The waiter was very attentive and helped us select a wonderful Montefalco wine. Nice jazz music.

They do food well here. We had a very simple mixed salad that had a perfect vinaigrette. Then, mixed griiled veg (green pepper, eggplant, thin zucchini, and radicchio) and mixed grilled meats. We also had very good tagliatelli with artichokes and white beans from the nearby Lago Trasimeno area (that needed onion and salt). Total cost was 50 Euros. The... More

We have visited the Medioevo a few times in the past and really enjoyed the experience so decided to go again despite the apparent decline reported in recent reviews. We should have heeded the warnings of our fellow trip advisers. We went on a Tuesday evening (a rather cold and wet Tuesday which didn't help) and were the only ones... More
