The philosophy of the restaurant's kitchen part of the Middle Ages by a careful search of raw materials, all fresh, seasonal, local produce to domestic KM.Zero and of high quality. Meat derived exclusively from farms in Umbria and Tuscany, of the Umbrian hills oil obtained by cold pressing, fresh pasta made by hand, careful selection of cured meats and artisan cheeses. Experience and passion for good food of William, born skilfully revisited, rediscovering the traditional Umbrian menu and make that change from time to time according to the season. To complete the unforgettable experience in the heart of Assisi, in the Middle Ages will find a special location rich in architectural elements dating back to the Roman era a few steps from Piazza del Comune.

Very good restaurant in Assisi

First course was strangozzi with truffles and it was excellent, second course was a mixed selection of grilled meats which was very good. Good, not great service, house wine was a bit pricey and no outdoor dining options were the only drawbacks.

Lovely setting and good Umbrian food, service was adequate although a little rushed. We opted for a set Christmas-menu, which was probably a mistake because we ended up wasting most of our main course. Antipasto was probably the best, with fresh salame, coppa and porcini appetizer. My pork meat was good but my mother's tagliata was a little burnt on... More

My wife & I had dinner here on Friday 3 October 2014. We were Lucky...we arrived a little after 7 PM without a reservation. They did have an extra table. Within the next 30 minutes they turned away 3 couples who did not have reservations. If you plan to eat here a reservation is suggested. The dinner was truly outstanding.... More

Great ambiance! Great food! Best wine! One of the best meals we've had. The truffle sauce was so good and the light salad that followed was just right. My husband enjoyed a great value with the lunch prix fix. Really appreciated the higher quality this restaurant offers. Although there are no views, this space offers an alternative to the more... The food and ambience are amazing! My husband and I had a full three course dinner here with wine and dessert. We're so glad our hotel recommended this restaurant, as everything was top-notch! We had a porcini and truffle risotto that was delicious! The wait staff are dressed black-tie, so you might want to wear nicer clothes for a meal... More

I have written my review under the establishment of "ristorante medioevo." From what I can tell it's the same address so have a look under that link if you want another opinion.

Located just a street away from the main square, we were tired from travel and the 'tasting menu' looked decent enough value which also meant we wouldn't have to think about our orders. Despite being a large space, the restaurant itself was quiet which usually rings alarm bells for us. But the music playing softly and the welcoming we received... More

I had a wonderful dinner here. Highlights: rigatoni with a cream sauce, sausage, and truffles, and the steak 'Medioevo' style. The service was just right. As someone else mentioned, the house wine was also good.

Ate dinner here twice. Very pleasant place with attentive staff and excellent food. Particularly liked the truffle and Porcini mushroom dishes. Wines by the glass were outstanding Umbrian wines.

This was our second visit to this great restaurant in the last two years. Staff a friendly, efficient, and very good. Food is excellent; house wine very good. Remember, the meats of Umbria are wonderful and never turn down a pasta dish with truffles (sharing the pasta leaves room for the secondi plati). You will never replicate the truffle experience...
