Grumpy waitress but affordable fiorentina

The fiorentina steak despite the florence area isn't something you can find well done easily nowadays but in this place I must say was not only good but at a quite good price considering the other I had. All the food in general is quite good in the end and it has really to be taken in consideration... read more

I've eaten here three times over the last 18 months, normally as part of a group of 6 or 8. Try the liver pate and T bone steak served on a hot plate to allow you to cook to your taste. Relaxed dining.

Perfect for tasting Florentine cuisine which was exquisite! Simple relaxing setting, staff at the time I went there was not much for small talk but we were served well. The town is a must see for art and history lovers. Highly recommended

We were traveling outside of Florence (where we are staying) and were recommended to see the Leonardo di Vinci Museum and to eat at La Torretta. We have thanked our recommender profusely! This is one of the best places we have been (and we travel annually to Italy, sometimes twice annually!) It is clearly a locals place. We were the... More

Great restaurant full of locals near the museum. The food is wonderful and plentiful. Take your time here and go for the full Italian meal with antipasto, primi piatto, and do not skip on the steak!

After visiting the Leonardo Museum we wandered downtown to find lunch. We saw nowhere that appealed. We asked a local and he sent us back up the hill, past the Museum to La Torretta. The waiter we had was very grouchy but that did not matter as the food he brought was excellent. As mentioned in other reviews, there is... More

We went on a rainy Friday for lunch. We found it by asking locals in the town. The first thing you see as you enter is a larke antipasto bar with a wide selection then you notice the open fire in the kitchen through a door at the end. This is huge and they rake coals down from the back... More

We had just toured the Museum Leonardo De Vinci and wanted to find a nice restaurant for lunch. After a short walk from the museum we found just the right place. Rustic local flavor with a nice view. The waiter was very helpful with the menu and the portions were of a size two could share. We started with a... More

We thought a visit to a local winery was fantastic, but Massimo Sensi insisted on taking us out for dinner and we are so glad we agreed. Tip number one: make a reservation. Keep trying on the phone because they may in the back cooking. Zero tables available on the night we were there, in the low season, and it... More
