Went there twice in august this year. Pizza first night was poor. Second night my calzone was tasteful. Wife ordered some meat and salad. No good. No real atmosphere. Toilets were really poor. Problem with Vinci is that there is not much too choose from in dining.

Arriving in Vinci at around lunchtime I was looking to have a light bite to eat before exploring the town and visiting the museum to Leonardo de Vinci. Just above the square where I had parked, I heard the sound of people engaged in hearty conversation and the undeniable sound of food being consumed enthusiastically. Sounds a good place, so... We were heading for a different restaurant in Vinci, but that one was closed, and by driving around, we more or less randomly ended up at Il Nicchio. It turned out to be an excellent evening. The food was outstanding, the house's wine was very good, the service was excellent and attentive, the musical entertainment was not to our liking,... More

We took a little road trip from our Tuscan villa to Vinci, the birthplace of Leonard. This restaurant was one of the few which was open on the sunday when we visited, but in the event that turned out to be serendipity in action because this restaurant turned out to be very good indeed. What we got were huge portions... More

This is a nice restaurant to visit with your kids because the pizzas and salads are great. Also for adults it is okay. Location is great sitting underneath the grapes and they have some good wines. There problem is that it is very difficult for them to keep up the service when it's busy. They are with enough people but... More

The pasta was ok, could be a bit tastier. Service was good old eastern European style, slow and not at all service minded.

We were a group of 7 having dinner. It took 15 minutes to even get a drink order placed. 4 of us got our dinners right away. The rest sat for another 20-30 minutes until 2 more orders came and then 1 person had to wait another 10 minutes for their pasta (not a complicated order). We watched other tables... More

It's a place for pizza and lasagna. The good thing is that you can eat on a garden. I didn't like the toilets, can be better.

We recently spent two weeks in Tuscany and returned repeatedly to Il Nicchio to enjoy their shady garden and good food. Our kids loved the pizzas and we loved the well prepared Tuscan menu. Favorite dishes, other than pizzas, were the Rucola salad (Arugula and Parmesan), Misto di Mare, and Scampi pasta - very flavorful. Though at times the service... More

We were there drinking cappuchino twice. The service is bad!!! The coffee is good!! And we had there dinner once. And that was definitely the last time. They say they open the restaurant as 7pm. But they didn't seem to make any hurry to open the restaurant at 7pm. So we just walked inside with some other people. That made... More
