This place is a safe bet for food on your first night in Siena. Tourist friendly, safe if unspectacular. There ar ebetter restaurants in Siena but if you're a bit tired after a day's travel and just want a simple tusacn meal this palce is fine.

The first two nights of our stay in Siena we passed by the restaurant because it was not in the "happening" area of town. On our third night, at the recommendation of a local, we stopped by and it was filled with people, mostly locals. The menu was all in Italian but the staff was able to translate. We had... More

This is an informal, friendly kind of place that caters to both tourists and locals. The food is good and the busy staff are helpful in explaining details of the menu. It's a short walk from the Hotel Athena. We reserved ahead.....recommended, I think, as it was pretty full when we arrived. Lots of pastas and grilled meats.

We really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. at this friendly little restaurant. Our dishes were well prepared and delicious. At the end of the meal, they brought bottles of grappa and amaretto to our table and left them there for us enjoy (no charge).

Recommended by the hotel Athena. What a restaurant. Great Pasta. Try the Gnocchi with secret sauce. Incredible!! At the end of the meal they served us complimentary home made Grappa and Amaretto. I had the Amaretto and it was smooth!

Walked into this lovely "Hole in the Wall" - What a delight -truly authentic Tuscan Fare - Overseen by the Owner - Menu is in italian only - Started with a terrific Bruschetta, followed by Gnocchi with secret sauce - Complimentary Amaretto de Saronno (Home made) and Grappa was a nice touch. Will certainly be back!

Our hotel, Athena, recommended Nonna Gina for a nice lunch after our arrival from Gardone Riviera. It was a short and lovely walk and we were pleased with the homey surroundings and artwork. The menu was full of great country dishes....we had the tripe, and faggiole with sausage. Both were terriffic. We will go back for sure!

If you decide to order the very good gnocchi and the pasta, bear in mind that they are filling, so don't order too many other dishes. The boar stew is tasty, but the roast pork is just average. Order vegetable sides to go with them. The home-made panna cotta was excellent. The house red is good and inexpensive. The service,... More

Best experience in Siena. As has been pointed out, the after dinner grappa and amaretto is a bonus. On top of it all was Nonna's secret sauce on the gnocchi. A DO NOT MISS place if you visit Siena. Bob Hahn

My husband and I had dinner at Osteria Norma Gina tonight and the meal was great! Pasta was superb and the service was awards winning. Our waitress was extremely friendly and eagerly helped us with our selections. The the house gave after dinner drinks which was a big surprise and really appreciated. Would highly recommend for a nice quiet evening... More
