This restaurant was recommend by our hotel. The staff were friendly and happy to explain various dishes on the menu (which was a bit difficult to read being handwritten). The antipastone was good as was the bruschetta with pecorino. We both ate pasta which was quite filling but nothing special. My husband had the tiramisu which was mostly cream cheese... More

This place was recommended to us and we are really happy we chose this option. The food was great and the service was as well. The menu is hand written in Italian so it's hard to read and understand if you can't read italian but the staff are happy to help when you ask.

Osteria Nonna Gina was a few minutes walk from our hotel Il Chiostro del Carmine and in fairness I wasn't expecting too much. It was our last night and we didn't want to walk to far, so thought we would give it a go and I was really surprised about how good it was. The menu was all in Italian,... More

Osteria Nonna Gina has such a lovely homely feel and great atmosphere when it's busy and bustling. The food was great homecooked style fare. Highly recommend for a genuine Italian experience. It does get very busy though so arrive early or book!

The service was good, food not that great. We had set new year dinner; lots of food but it had a bit mass-production feeling.

We ended up in this restaurant since it was close to our hotel and we were tired. It was a great surprise! The food is typical Tuscan homemade. Very tasty and simple. Try the gnocchi of Lella. We returned to have them again the following day. They also have noodles with wild boar which are also very good.

We had lunch at this typically tuscan looking Osteria with american friends. Since we were not very hungry,we did not eat the italian way, but only had appetizers and entrées. One of the pasta plates came shortly after we had ordered and was scarcely warm. I am afraid to say it, but I suspect it came directly from the microwave.... More
