Had a very good meal there. Service was professional and un-rushed. House wine was great, the Ribbolita was fantastic. I had pasta with shrimp which was very good, wife had pork stew- excellent

We selected this restaurant for dinner in central Siena because it was well recommended and our number 1 choice was closed on Sunday. The restaurant is located in the southern section of the historic center just off a main street that leads to the Duomo. On the inside there are 2 modest-sized dining rooms -- a main room with brick... More

For a fish restaurant in Siena L'Osteria Di Castelvecchio can’t be beaten. It is rather tucked away at the east end of the Via Castelvecchio but not too difficult to find and near to the Pinacoteca Nazionale. The decor is simple and pleasant and the food excellent. The langoustine was just wonderful and the salmon and squid can be highly... More

Castelvecchio was a great suggestion from our hotel. Modern and comfortable decor with a fun, friendly and slightly quirky staff made for a very enjoyable meal. The wine list is very reasonable and the menu pricing is very fair. The mixed fried seafood dish was huge and wonderful. We would certainly go again

This was one of the best meals we've had anywhere in the world. Eggplant Parmesan, lamb and Tuscan bean soup sound simple, but they were perfectly prepared and we ate every bite. The chocolate berry dessert was heavenly. Beautiful atmosphere, personable service. We're already planning our return visit tomorrow.

Intimate osteria in a side street offering high quality nicely presented meals. Service is quiet and unobtrusive. Prices are reasonable. One comment - our starter (sorry, I don't remember how it is called) that was supposed to contain black truffles was indeed very tasty yet we could not discern that distinctive black truffle scent and taste). Otherwise, everything was so... More

We visited this wonderful restaurant on Saturday evening and the food was fabulous! Veggie cuisine heaven ... my personal favourite was the starter: spring salad with apples, almonds and a basket of parmesan. When they say basket, they mean basket, beautifully roasted, slithers of cheese making for a very tasty starter. Pasta mains and there was an unusual offering of... More

Tucked away on a quiet back street in Siena, this is a marvellous find, and well worth a gentle stroll up the hill from the Campo to get to. Elegant, and unusually modern decor in this cavern-like restaurant, and simple, excellent quality food. Good service, and a thoroughly enjoyable lunch!

Kind of a modern/artisan decor... the menu was quite unique and sophisticated - integrating a classic and modern menu and delicious... great value for such high end cuisine... attentive staff, romantic.
