Lovely lunch

This is a lovely little restaurant. Prices are very reasonable and portions are quite large. We ordered the short pasta with aubergine & peppers. It was very tasty & plenty to eat. The waiter was so friendly as well which made the different. Would recommend it for a bit of lunch !

Tasty tasty tasty. We had excelent Pasta al Pomodoro and Gniocchi al Pesto - simple dishes yet cooked perfectly Yummi - especially the gniocchi was to die for. Potato chips were a special surprise - thinly cut slices and fried to a soft borderline crispy texture - we will remember them for life I am sure. Expected something "normal" and... More

Warm welcome to this restaurant frequented by locals & tourists. Good food reasonably priced. We choose this instead of the tour reps suggestion having found it by chance. Would return.

After walking around Siena for many hours we were headed to the parking lot but decided we better have something before heading home. We passed this restaurant and decided to have lunch – good decision. It is a quaint Tuscan restaurant. We had the wild boar that was heavenly and the osso bucco was top notch – very tender. The... We had dinner here last night. It felt like we were eating in someone's home. It was delicious! One waiter spoke English and was very nice! We had Filet and tagliatelle with pork. Both were great! Dinner, wine and dessert for 80 Euros. Loved it!!!

We recently had lunch at L'Osteria while touring Siena. This quaint and small osteria is nicely decorated with a rustic motif. Chill Out and jazz music played over L'Osteria's audio system, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. Seating is limited, so reservations are suggested, especially for the evening meal. There were also a few tables outside under umbrellas. Tables are topped... More

Read about this restaurant in a gourmet food book about Italy. It was worth the visit, we sampled 3 courses; antipasti to begin - beautiful meat, and sundried tomatoes, passed on the tripe. Next was two pasta dishes, the pico with wild boar sauce was amazing - meaty and thick in texture. The small pasta with leek, cheese and roasted... More

We stopped in tonight (Oct. 25) without reservations and was given 2 seats at the 4 top communal table. We were joined shortly by a lovely family from Seattle. We had already placed our order before they arrived. We received the appetizer, then they received their food almost 15 minutes before us. The food was VERY GOOD. We tried to... More

Dined here in October 2014. Food was OK, but service was not just rude, but intentionally so. My first time visiting Roma and now Siena for a few days, this is by far the worst experience I've had. Everyone in Italy has been extremely kind and welcoming to me, until this place. Just uncool, when you are a paying customer... More
