In two weeks in Italy this was one of our best meals. We shared a delicious crostini with pear and cheese, followed by a wild boar stew with polenta, and best of all the steak with white truffles - one of the best bites I've ever had. This place is no frills, just good food in a nice setting. Highly... More

We ended up here by chance, quite late at night for Italian standards. What a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is very cozy and the stuf was extremely friendly. We had the local "antipasto" with crostini. A great combination of local cured meats with nice tosted bread. Then I had "Taglietelle al tartufo bianco" (Tagliatelle pasta with white truffle). They were... More

This was our best meal during our trip to Italy. While we were there it was one chef and one guy running the show. It was mostly Italians in the restaurant so it was really a local place vs tourists. The food was OUTSTANDING and our favorite meal. We started with the blue cheese and truffle bruschetta which was unlike... More

We stayed in Siena for a week, and ate here 3 nights. The menu is not huge, just full of local, fresh dishes that adapt to the season. The porcini mushrooms are beautifully prepared, whether fried, grilled, or with pasta. Steaks are cooked perfectly to order, white truffles add a flavour we've never experienced! Wines are reasonably priced, service excellent... More

After a few days of heavy seafood diet in Venice, my friend and I are looking for truffles and porcini. We found L'Osteria when we walked around. Luckily we managed to get the last indoor table right next to the bar. Food was good and the pasta with porcini didn't disappoint us. But their service was really slow (short of... More

We were in Sienna for 1 and half days... and went there 3 times. We found it by chance, and we were blown away. The food is amazing, whatever you choose, it will always be great. Even that some tourists can be found there, there are plenty of locals which is a good sign. The service is great, fast, attentive,... More

Although this little place has been "discovered," it is still worth seeking out for the excelent food and attentive service all at a very reasonable price.

I went to this restaurant with my husband in September of 2015. The food is amazing! We ordered pici with cheese and pepper and carpaccio of argula and parmeson. Amazingly good!!!

On Via Dei Rossi in Siena --- this was a very nice accidental find. We enjoyed pasta with fresh porcini which was excellent accompanied by a nice glass of wine then our espresso. We sat at one of the 6 tables on the street which allows for a bit of people watching while enjoying your meal. Nearby diners enjoyed a... More
