Special experience, romantic

Reservations encouraged. We did get a table at 7 but was told it would have to be vacated by 9:30 for next guest (who didn't show and we stayed longer). Fav dish was a risotto with final preparation inside a pecorino cheese bowl!

Went here for dinner. We got there early (7pm), so we could get a table, but seemed like you would have to reserve if you wanted to come a little later. Very good service and excellent food. Classic tuscan dishes with lots of flavour.

A restaurant with antique surroundings (except some strange art on the walls), nice atmosphere and the smell of truffle all over the place. The waiters were very welcoming, and the food was great. The risotto served from a bowl made of cheese, is really worth a visit.

Waiters were attentive, so service was great. Prices were very reasonable given the quality. Had beautiful scallops and quail to start, which were both lovely; the sea bass and wild boar parpadelle were beautiful, and it was all accompanied by a nice bottle of red wine. Overall lovely food and experience.

Ended up here when our first choice restaurant turned out to be closed for 2 weeks of owner vacation (nothing on their website!) managed to. Get the last available table without a reservation with the understanding that we would need to clear out after 80 minutes for the next reservation, which was fine although quick by Italian standards- better than... Great restaurant in a beautiful, romantic cave in crowded Siena, lovely ambiance. Nice furniture, antiques/brocante. Pleasantly airconditioned. Excellent food. We had the egg with asparagus and truffle: light and subtle, superb. Polenta for starters: great. Very good wine list too. service was very friendly and of high quality. Only downpoint was the unpleasant woman at the entrance, receiving payments and... More

We went here for lunch. The place was looking great! It was charming and cosy, and felt like having dinner in a cellar. We were greeted friendly when we entered the osteria. We ordered a pasta each (since we were there for lunch), which resulted in a disappointed stare from the waiter. The amount of pasta was good, but the... More

We met some people on an outdoor café and got talking about the wonderful Italian food. They recommended this restaurant and we made a reservation by mail which they responded to real quick and pleasant. A great location though we were about in the middle and it gets more 'damp' when you're further down so we would recommend to ask... More

Incredible restaurant! Very popular and I know why. Risotto, Lamb and a T bone steak to die for. We had no idea what to order, we left it up to our waiter who chose our food and wine! We left very stuffed and happy. The atmosphere was beautiful in this romantic cave of a restaurant. This is not a cheap... More
