had an excellent lunch during a winter week where we thought might not be open.....so glad. We relaxed and ate very well of their varied local menu....husband had the wild boar....I enjoyed the famous risotto.....a lovely time in Siena, which is blissfully quiet in January.

Loved the experience of dining in an ancient catacomb. The food was outstanding and every plate looks like a work of art. I also loved the little extras, like the small complimentary soup and the cookies. The chocolate soufflé is a must!

Super restaurant near Duomo with nice decor but mostly excellent food. Rebollito soup was tasty and mushroom in puff pastry starter was great. Risotto with truffles was awesome. Excellent wine list and service. Would come back here without hesitation.

Arrived early as we did not have any reservation with December being quite calm. Nevertheless 3 couples arrived just after we did! So it had to be good and it was. Great food, average service but overall a great experience!

My wife and I were fortunate to spend Christmas Eve at this lovely restaurant. It is just a few steps from the Duomo. The restaurant is cut out of the soft vocanic rock upon which Siena is built. I opted for the Risotto “Carnaroli” with Porcini mushrooms scented with thyme served in a form of demi-seasoned pecorino cheese with fresh... More

The food is wonderful here but coupled with the atmosphere it is superb! Delicious appetizers as well as main courses. We ate lunch here but would have loved to return for dinner. Make reservations early so you can enjoy dinner here in the oldest section of the restaurant.

Highly rate this restaurant! Our best dining experience of 10 days in Italy. Can't say enough. First of all, our Dining room was 3000 year old Etruscan catacombs. The rest of the restaurant dated back to Midevil times. The food was beyond excellent! And the staff was excellent. The wine list superb! Even our 9-year old son enjoyed his meal.
