Fine Dining but no soul

We enjoyed a very interesting dinner here.we had a typical Tuscan Appertizer, and a Phillo pastry tart with roasted yellow pumpkin and pecorino cheese fondue. This was was followed by a roast rack of lamb , and crispy Guinea fowl.we finished with a. Lemon meringue basket (was very ordinary ) and a caramelised pastry dish. The waiter was cheerful but the the... More

We were travelling with our 10 month year old daughter and asked our hotel to book somewhere where we could take a baby for evening meal. We were a bit shocked when we arrived at the restaurant - it was very upmarket! But the staff were friendly and we had the place to ourselves for first hour. They even had... More

The choices for good restaurants in our trip to Siena and Florence have been too numerous to count. But Osteria da Diva really stands out for the creativity they bring to Tuscan dishes, making the most of local ingredients. We had a fabulously tasty farro seafood soup, scallops that melt in your mouth, eggplant and broccoli ravioli, and roasted pumpkin... More

any extraordinary building, with mediaeval interior walls, and a former catacomb downstairs as part of the dining space. Excellent staff, very good food, knowledgeable and pleasant service. Thoroughly recommended

We visited the restaurant in January. No reservation and only for lunch and after reading all the positive feedback from tripadvisor. We were helped by the most snobbish waiter ever and on top of that we got not the dish we ordered. The food was ok for Italian standard. We ordered soep, ravioli 2x and risotto. The menu is impressive... More

The food at Antica Osteria da Divo was really pretty good. Some of the dishes were more adventurous than in other, more traditional Siena restaurants, but none really stood out from the pack. As the title of my review suggests, however, it is rather difficult to find a bad meal in Italy unless you try, so we weren't surprised that... More

We chose this on the basis of its very good reviews (No 3) and because it was quite near our hotel. The venue itself is antique, cave-like and romantic. The service was good except our Filipino waiter knew nothing about wine and neither did the lady who greeted us at the door where their wine display was located. When I... More

The atmosphere at this restaurant is cracking. It has a lovely intimate quality which is nice to disappear into after the madness of Siena in the summer. Food was good and the wine selection was ample. Certainly worth a visit if you are in Siena but I wouldn't go specially.
