Very Good Dinner

We ate at the Trattoria Fontegiusta at the recommendation of our hotel, Hotel Italia. It was a short walk from the hotel to the restaurant. Tried the steak with mushroom sauce and Pici with wild boar ragu. Both dishes were tasty. Service was good although it seemed like they wanted to clear the... read more

As a group we went to this restaurant. The food was simply delicious. The pizzas are so cheap yet they are perfection. The pastas are all fresh. The house wine both white & red are excellent. After my first visit I returned with more friends and it was just as good the second time. The waiters are friendly. The service... More

We chose this restaurant on the first night after not being able to get a table at our first choice. Of all the other restaurants in the street this was the busiest. There are a lot of tables outside but we chose to sit inside and found many more tables there. On the first night, my aunt and I both... More

We were in Siena a couple years ago and had the good fortune of dining at this restaurant. We were there this past June with our family and knew we needed to have them enjoy this delight. We were proven absolutely correct as to the quality of the food, it was even better than we remembered. My husband and son-in-law... More

This is quite a big restuarant inside. Service is fine, the pizza was excellent. It is worth visiting before you go the centre! :-)

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, along with two others. We liked this one so much, we never went anywhere else. There were lots of choices on the menu. The restaurant seemed to be a favorite for both locals and tourists. The pasta choices came with that wonderful fresh Italian bread, were reasonable priced at around 7 euros and were more... More

Good service. Reasonably priced. I'm no wine connoisseur but I really enjoyed the house red. I had the Tuscan salami antipasta and then the wild boar pici. It was great. Couldn't fault it

I would only rate this restaurant as 'not bad', because some 'authentic' dishes were not of the top quality. Bruschetta with tomatoes and mozzarella used processed, grated mozzarella and the risotto used pre-boiled rice. This is not the end of the world and neither were bad, but not quite what one would expect. Other 'tourist' restaurants in Siena do the... More

Delicious....as recommended by our hosts at B &B Gli Archi. We shared a few selections...the risotto with zucchini, wild boar stew, pasta with meat and mushroom sauce, chicken stew and mixed salad. No room for the tiramisu so will be going back for dinner tonight and save room for tiramisu.

We needed to have an early dinner so we went to Fontegiusta as it was open. It's a decent place, but feels like it's servicing the tourists coming to Siena. The starter bruschetta was lovely, and the pizzas we had were nice, but no one came away impressed. The service is a bit casual as well.
