Lovely spot, great meal

Don't pass up the gnocchi in this small, modern restaurant between the Duomo and Campo. Lovely setting removes you from the busyness and drabness of Siena's streets.

We had dinner at the restaurant last night and the food was excellent. 5 stars to the chef, however, we had to dine inside as it was raining and the interior has as much atmosphere as a dentists waiting room. The overhead lights are too bright and the wait staff were not friendly or welcoming. Get the ambience right inside... More

We wandered past and saw the lovely terrace, then looked them up and read all the positive the reviews. Wow! From the first taste of their amazing selection of home made breads, we knew that everything would be excellent. And it was. Perfect food, great friendly service on a lovely quiet terrace just off the main tourist thoroughfare.

Restaurant is close to main city attractions and offers creative and extremely tasty choice of dishes. Swordfish with fennel is to die for, meats are exceptional and plates servings look very attractive. Wine list is done with a very good taste. Service and perfect: polite, quick and attentive. And multilingual, which helps. Decor is a bit simple, but don't let... More

Four of us had an excellent, reasonably priced meal here; we were welcomed by the hospitable staff who couldn't have been nicer about letting us sit outside on a warm evening, although we hadn't reserved a table. The location is great -- near the Duomo and Piazza del Campo. We would certainly go back again.

We searched Siena for a special place in Siena with excellent food which is out of the ordinary for a couple of days! We found the Número Unico and loved it! Great food, great wine, great service!

We had worn ourselves out visiting the wonderful nearby museum complex of "Ospedale di Santa Maria della Scala". When asked, the guide at the museum suggested Número Unico especially if we could get a seat outside. We are so pleased we took his advice. Poor hot and worn out fellow visitors and tourists struggled up the nearby ramp whilst we... More

My husband and I are both foodies. We looked at a lot of restaurant menus before deciding to try this restaurant. The food was a cut above your average Italian restaurant and 1 of 2 special meals we had on our trip. The dishes were all excellent. My only complaint was that I wish the food were a little warmer.... More

We had 6 dishes overall (dessert included), loved 4 of them, the rest less so, a bottle of wine, all this for 90 euros gran total. Service was reasonably effecient if a bit unpersonal. The wine list although wallet friendly, left me wanting. Very nice and realxed room, could use less noisy but thats just me being old. Overall, would... More
