After wandering around unsuccessfully looking for a restaurant we ended up here on the rebound as it was very close to our hotel and because the far better "Antica Osteria da Divo" where we ate the previous night was closed on a Tuesday. I nearly walked out because the music they were playing was some totally inappropriate American pop, but... More

Found this while walking around looking for something else. Great experience and we went back a second time during our stay. Spendid tuscan cooking with pasta, meat and game and no chips. I had boar stew and rabbit on the second visit. The wife had strachotto di manzo and lasagne. Antipasti Toscana and nice torta dessert. Very friendly atmosphere. We... More

Dinner with friends at a local trattoria. Enjoyed the menu choices, and the friendly attitude of the waiter. Good food in a typical Tuscan flavored ambiance. Good value for money and good place for a friendly come together.

We stayed in Via Stalloreggi so this was a local restaurant and it turned out to be a great find. Went for dinner and had the gnocchi with shrimp and the lasagna which was the best to date in Italy. Recommended!

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and the basket of fresh porcini at the entrance is always a good sign. I was there for the tagliolini with fresh truffles however, accompanied by a glass of house vino bianco. At just shy of 20 euros it wasn't the cheapest lunch... but absolutely delicious. Highly recommended restaurant and conveniently located near... More

What a find! We came upon I Barberi by chance and enjoyed it so much that we went back on our last evening in Siena. Delicious Tuscan antipasti, rabbit (I had this both times), parmesan soufflés, wild boar - and prices are reasonable too. Staff were welcoming; created a happy environment - a family run restaurant? We went to several... More

This is an excellent restaurant serving simple, authentic Tuscan dishes. On my first visit, I ordered the tagliolini with truffles which was just divine, and on my second visit I had the ribollita toscana which was hearty and yummy - perfect for a cold day. The waiters are very helpful and nice too! I'll miss this place when I leave... More

This trattoria was recommended to us by the Hotel Duomo, it was 50 yards doen the street. The two staff were ver welcoming spoke enough english for us to enjoy the menu. My wife ordered the rabbit (consiglio) and I had the beef slices tagliatele. We both enjoyed it so much we went back for the remaining three nights of... More

We were looking for place to eat in Siena, and stumbled across this place. Mostly indoor dining , but we chose one of the two outdoor tables. Some traffic nearby, but not too much. We had Lasagne, Capesante, vino rosso, and our introduction to Crema Catalana, a dessert like Creme Caramel but with cinnamon. We subsequently had it other places... More

We first visited this restaurant after finding it close to our hotel after an exhausting travel day. It was delicious then - so much so we went back tonight with some travel companions. Simple food, an authentic Tuscan menu ranging from ravioli stuffed with ricotta in a delicious tomato basil sauce for the less adventurous to rabbit stew and zippy... More
