Really great pasta!

The pasta here was really great! The "spaghetti" was thick, and cooked to perfection! A very nice meal! Also had a panna cotta for dessert, but it was with a chocolate sauce which overwhelmed the good taste of the panna cotta itself! The atmosphere was brilliant and very nice!

I've been in Siena for a couple of days and my friend Francesco brought me in this warm and friendly restaurant. We started with very delicious salami, prosciutto, finocchiona and some typical cheese. After that I had a a perfect and tasty beef steak. Red wine was great and desert as well. I could't ask for more! Even the service... More

Good food, good prices, and good service, despite how busy the restaurant was. Can't really ask for more! We dropped in for dinner without a reservation, were seated quickly, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is a little noisy though, not one for a quiet tete-a-tete.

Shocked. Long waiting. Bored staff. Worst bruschette I've eaten, the other antipasti not better. We canceled the rest of our orders and left. Never more... Petra

We loved this Osteria with it's tastefully decorated ambiance based on a puristic and purpose driven style and yet warm. Friendly service, excellent "Table Wine", my ossobucco tender and pleasantly filling. We were 5 people happily enjoying Tuscan hospitality and quality dishes based on a refined traditional kitchen. Perfectly located close to Duomo and Piazza del Campo in a small... More

We're were staying in Siena for a couple of days and this restaurant was recommended by our hotel, as well as TripAdvisor. The staff was helpful, the food was great, and it was quietly tucked into a good location. No crowds.

The food was excellent, staff was kind, the place was quiet in a lovely little street. The other good point is that it was neither too busy nor too loud (contrary to the restaurants on the piazza del campo...) We loved it

My colleague and I had lunch here this week. The service was very friendly - in fact, perhaps a bit too friendly. Often the waitstaff engaged in long conversations with the clients, at the peril of the rest of us who were waiting to order or pay our bills. That is the only reason I don't give it full marks.... Unusual to find a very good restaurant just behind the Duomo, in the center of a tourist laden city. Unusual that there are still people who are humble enough to try to serve the best to their customers, selecting fresh materials, instead of just feeding bad expensive food to tourists. We had three types of pici and spent the lunch... More

The restaurant is ideally located for tourists, like us, visiting the duomo. It is small and was full when we arrived for lunch in mid-august. However, we managed to squeeze into a small table. The food was very good and excellent value for money. The local house wine (a chianti) was young but good and is recommended. Our waiter was... More
