Unusual to find a very good restaurant just behind the Duomo, in the center of a tourist laden city. Unusual that there are still people who are humble enough to try to serve the best to their customers, selecting fresh materials, instead of just feeding bad expensive food to tourists. We had three types of pici and spent the lunch... More

The restaurant is ideally located for tourists, like us, visiting the duomo. It is small and was full when we arrived for lunch in mid-august. However, we managed to squeeze into a small table. The food was very good and excellent value for money. The local house wine (a chianti) was young but good and is recommended. Our waiter was... More

I had looked this restaurant up on tripadvisor prior to our trip to Italy and it did not disappoint. When we walked in, completely soaking wet from a rainstorm, we were warmly greeted and taken to a table. The servers were incredibly friendly. I ordered the filet and it was incredible. It was definitely one of the best pieces of... More

Struggling to make up our minds where to eat lunch, my husband and I stumbled upon Osteria del Gusto - thank goodness we did! We each ordered a vegetarian set lunch/degustation and each dish was AMAZING. I had an eggplant flan for entrée and my husband had baked Pecorino in a Chianti reduction... YUM. These were the absolute highlights. We... More

We were very much afraid of ending up in a tourist trap during our visit to Siena in July 2014. This restaurant is a bit away from the crowds but still very much centrally located. But there's no tourist-trapping here! We enjoyed a simple, delicious, honest lunch (try to come in before the 1PM rush hour), excellent value for money.... More

I have never posted a negative review before, so I am cautious before doing this, but here goes.... We walked past the restaurant Saturday night, saw the certificate of excellence sign and were disappointed that the restaurant was full... Made a reservation the next night to find only one table occupied so maybe we missed the 'ambience', but that's really... More

We loved this restaurant. The food was awesome, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was simply beautiful! We ate here twice. . . . we loved it so very much!

My daughter and I liked the look of the 3 tall top tables under an umbrella while strolling to the Duomo. Her casarecce w sage pesto and my verdure al vapore ( sautéed vegetables ) on tuna and Mozzerella were wonderful . The service was a bit slow but friendly.

The number of REAL Osterias gets thinner by the hour in Italy. Don't loose this chance to taste real home made food cooked right by your side. We had a precious lunch at "Club Del Gusto", and it came for less money you can ever think of eating in a Firenze sit down place. Authentic regional specialties done the right... More

The place is outstanding. We were 5 adults, quite experienced in italian travel, and we all left enchanted by the wonderful dinner we had. Every single item in the menu was excellent. The eggplant appetizer was perfect, as were all the pasta dishes. We had steaks with roasted potatoes for the main course, and they were incredibly good as well.... More
