Don't miss this one! Fabulous food

This is a casual restaurant a short walk from Siena's core and worth planning your evening around. We saw mostly locals there and the food was simply amazing. My other half and I recently spent a weekend in rural Tuscany and found this restaurant upon our trip into Siena for dinner. Everything about our experience was so wonderful that we returned the next day for lunch as well! The staff went out of their way to provide a great experience. We ate a two course meal with one... We stumbled across L'oro di Siena by accident and we are so glad we did. A family run restaurant with lots of charm. A couple of things to note: it's easy for tourists by to drive and park close by. I'm pregnant so after a long day on my feet exploring, it was nice to easily get to the restaurant.... More

Mama is an excellent cook. Pasta to die for. Fantastic service, a lovely traditional home cooked meal. Surprise cherry sponge cake at the end made the meal.

I've been at "l'oro di Siena" many times and I always found a great Traditional Tuscan kitchen, all food is of excellent quality, wine is always very good and service is always perfect. The atmosphere is relaxing and intimate, Matteo is always nice and efficient and also the price is quite low, compared to the great quality of every single... More

While in Siena, we were there for dinner one night. TripAdvisor rating displayed on the window made me think that it will be worth it; but it was probably the worst Italian food I have ever had. We had ordered two pasta dishes, one mushroom, pepper and cheese and the other was tomato based. In both the dishes, we could... More

If you want to dine like the locals, away from many of the tourists, you will enjoy L'Oro di Siena. Family run - mama in the kitchen, son waiting the tables. Best value meal of the trip. About 10 minutes from il Campo at the north wall. Good fresh pasta, nice veal dishes, not fancy but just right.

Service: Excellent. The server was very attentive and eager to please. Atmosphere: This is a beautiful restaurant with lovely decorations. There was only one other table of tourists. The remainder were all locals. Food: Delicious! Fresh and tasty. Our only regret was that were attending the L’Opera Di Siena and didn’t have time to enjoy dessert – which I’m sure... More

We were looking for a nice Italian meal in Siena, and it was a very cold night in February. The outside sort of looks inviting. The waiter is not that friendly, and not that bothered by taking your coat, your order or being courteous. We ordered bottles of water, wine, dishes of different pasta 9 Euro's and 8.5 Euro's, and...
