This osteria was recommended to us by our nearby B&B and we were not disappointed. The co-owner was gracious and welcomed us warmly (her husband is chef). The food was terrific...wild boar, made fresh daily pastas, duck....no matter what you choose you will find the dishes well thought out, presented and delizioso! A large group of Italian ladies arrived for... More

Very happy we ended up there by chance as the nearby place where we wanted to have lunch is closed on Sundays. The smiling waitress, Catarina (who turns out to be the owner, together with her husband who coks) settled us at one of the six outside tables and assured us the sun would soon go away. The menu features... More

We stumbled upon this place during our walk around Siena. It's very unassuming from the outside, but the food will speak for itself. We got the local specialties which were recommended, one of them included an appetizer with pecorino cheese, wrapped in wild boar prosciutto and covered in truffles. It was AMAZING. Everything was fresh and with a local flair.... More

Le sorelline was recommended by our b and b manager, and it did not disappoint. Away from the touristy crowds near El Campo and the Duomo, you can choose from a display case for take out or eat in. BUT, they also have a restaurant, where we had a great, reasonable lunch off a varied menu. Fresh produce is the... More

Last night I enjoyed a great meal in this small gem of restaurant. They have a great list of Tuscan specialties including funghi and truffle pastas that are exceptionally well done. They also do the tuscan steak in some very interesting and delicious versions including one with balsamic and radicchio that was fantastic! Good wine selections that are also inexpensive and... More

Last week I was in Siena and the food at Le Sorelline is great! The homemade pasta Pici with bacon and nuts is just to die for! Also the pastries for dessert (one with lemon and one with fiche/figs is great!). Excellent red house wine. Owner speaks French and a bit of English apart from Italian. The restaurant is downstairs.... More

This is a new restaurant in the center of Siena. Marco Frambati, "the chef" prepares interesting dishes based on traditional cuisine of Siena. Excellent homemade pici with meat sauce, very good grilled sausage, good choice of cold cuts, deliciuos cheeses and tuscan wines. Comfortable and fast service.
