Great food with locals

We went to this place based on the ratings on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. Outside seating wasn't great because the street is very steep so one can't sit comfortably. A local recommended this small little osteria to us. We liked it so much, we went back for dinner again the next night. We sat in the small restaurant in the back. The food and service were excellent. The daily specials are exquisite. The menu and wine selection is small, but all very good.

Great place and we had lunch outside in the afternoon. Both meals were delicious and of course wine is always good in Italy. Would definitely recommend it.

After wandering around the city of Siena I came upon this delightful restaurant with a menu of food typical of the region served by a most charming staff. I had a dish of pasta with black truffles washed down with a local red wine. A most delightful experience can't wait to return.

At the front counter you can see the many dishes that they have prepared for the day. A popular no-frills local hang-out right in downtown Siena. Extra seating in the room in back.

We really enjoyed dining outside in the narrow street next to this restaurant on a warm summer's evening. After reading about the "cedar" ravioli in the TA reviews, we had to try them. The "cedar" turned out to be a mis-translation of the Italian word "cedro", which means citron, the lemon-like citrus fruit. The ravioli were delicious, with a citrusy... More

This little osteria is a find. The food is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The cedar ravioli with arugula pesto was exquisite. With the hundreds of restaurants to choose from in t beautiful Siena, this stands out as one of the very best. We will surely return.

This osteria was recommended to us by our nearby B&B and we were not disappointed. The co-owner was gracious and welcomed us warmly (her husband is chef). The food was terrific...wild boar, made fresh daily pastas, duck....no matter what you choose you will find the dishes well thought out, presented and delizioso! A large group of Italian ladies arrived for... More

Very happy we ended up there by chance as the nearby place where we wanted to have lunch is closed on Sundays. The smiling waitress, Catarina (who turns out to be the owner, together with her husband who coks) settled us at one of the six outside tables and assured us the sun would soon go away. The menu features... More

We stumbled upon this place during our walk around Siena. It's very unassuming from the outside, but the food will speak for itself. We got the local specialties which were recommended, one of them included an appetizer with pecorino cheese, wrapped in wild boar prosciutto and covered in truffles. It was AMAZING. Everything was fresh and with a local flair.... More
