Great service, best food in Siena!

I was surprised that there weren't more recent reviews for this restaurant. We got here right when it opened (my parents and I -- they are in their 60s, I am in my 30s) and were immediately welcomed. My mom and I wanted wine but didn't want a whole bottle, the waitress said this was no problem. We... read more

We ate here as we were meeting up near the Campo and we'd seen this restaurant earlier in the week: it had a nice fresh interior and good reviews. The interior looked nice and fresh on arrival, but apparently all the empty downstairs tables were reserved so we were told to go upstairs. What a contrast as the room was... More

Yes this place is good. In fact it's really good! Staff are attentive and explain very clearly all the dishes to you. The ravioli with the beef ragu is to die for, especially when combined with a Cianti. Go there and afterwards walk down into the Piazza Il Campo and have a beer !

You will struggle to find a place like this elsewhere. The restaurant is full of locals and no tourists even though it is in an alley 50m of the main square in Siena. Probably because it does not serve pizza and does not have a view. It is all about fresh Tuscan food with a seasonal menu. Precisely what a... More

This was a recommendation of our hotel staff at the Chiusarelli. It was easily one of the best meals we had in Italy. The restaurant had a cozy but upscale feel to it. Our waitress did not speak English but that was okay. We had another Caprese salad (E7) here that was very memorable. Two types of tomatoes cut two... More

We stumbled across this charming place in a narrow side-street and were really grateful to not have fallen into the tourist traps at the Piazza del Campo. We spent significantly less and had excellent food! They also allowed us to customize our dishes, which is always important for my husband's food allergies. I recommend the Pici pasta--on the menu it's... More

Our family of 5 tried 5 different dishes. Each was delicious and prepared with careful creativity. Our server was very helpful, with good tips about pairing beer and wines with the food. We had a relaxed evening savoring amazing food, cooked with pride. This was our unanimous favorite restaurant during our 2 week exploration of Italy.

Dolceforte came highly recommended by the place we're renting an apartment from. It also already had 5 five star reviews, so our expectations were high and we were wondering if they might be too high... WOW. What a meal! The best we've had in Italy without question. Our party of 5 had the homemade pasta with Pecorino cheese and pepper,... More

Very good menu - typical Italian dishes with a twist of the chef. Cute restaurant with nice atmosphere. Very friendly service. All dishes were very good and we felt that we have tried something new of the Tuscany kitchen although it was already the 5th day in Tuscany. Prices are fair. If you sit at one of the three tables...
