The food was not bad but not amazing either. For the cost I would have expected a little better. Nice venue.

Our landlady recommended this restaurant when we first arrived in Siena. We had no reservations, but were seated easily inside (only a few outdoor tables) around 8 pm. It's an old building that has been beautifully updated. It even had a great sound system and we enjoyed the music with dinner. We loved the house wine, octopus carpaccio, squash blossoms,... More

We went here based on a recommendation from our hotel. We had a great meal, one of the best we had during our two-week trip. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. In fact, our interactions with the owners and servers is what made the meal so memorable. The food and wine recommendations from our servers were spot on.... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. They explained many locals eat here. This was what we wanted. We want to avoid touristy restaurants and eat local. We arrived around 7pm. The place was not very busy at all but towards 8pm the business was picking up a lot. The hostess/bartender and waiters were all very kind and attentive. We... More

Just stumbled on this restaurant about a block down hill from the back of the Cathedral. The dining room is large with a high beamed ceiling. Found out later that the building is a deconsecrated Romanesque church. The food was excellent. Our meal included a bean soup, pork plate appetizer, pinci al pomodoro and a tagliettele with favas. The house... More

We accidentally found this restaurant while visiting Siena and what a pleasent experience. Several tables were reserved and clearly many guests were familiar with the staff who were very kind and helpful. They recommended a.o. a tuna main course which was stunning with its almond and pistacio crust and tender meat. Appetizer and primo dish was excellent too. We would... More

We chose this restaurant because of the Tripadvisor reviews, had to search for it a little bit because it is off the main street, and we were not disappointed. The place (a former church) is stunning! Some of the guests seemed to be local habitués. Attentive and friendly waiter, pleasant atmosphere, wonderful sienese food. I had my first Ribollita ever:... I chanced upon this place after visiting the duomo and didn't expect too much from what I thought was a tourist area. However, food and service were both very good. I had the primo of papardelle alla ragu senese, a local speciality similar to bolognese but less tomato and more umami. Pork skewer was also good.
