Lovely lunch in Siena

We had a lovely sophisticated lunch - the food was delicious and good portions. My courgette flowers were divine, with lots of truffle. My husband's cod fish with curry mayonnaise was very good too. The children and I all had rabbit taglione, which we loved. My husband's turbot ravioli was nice but... read more

I am not sure what this restaurant is trying to do. The staff seem very bored and not that friendly. The menu is trying to be up market nouvelle cuisine which in my opinion does not work. To start with the wine list is so long that you would take the best part of a day to read it all.... More

Our hotel recommended Porri-One because they would accommodate my vegan diet, and I assumed they would make a few adaptations to a spaghetti or risotto dish for me. However they went above and beyond accommodating me; they actually created an entirely vegan menu just for me with items that were not on the regular menu...ever. The chef was amazing; our... More

Our hotel owner said that this is her favorite restaurant in Sienna. We now understand why. Initially, nothing on the menu really appealed to me. I don't love rabbit or pidgeon. But wow, did the food turn out to be spectacular. From the fruit and parma ham first course to the pasta (anchovy and truffle speghetti) to the chocolate and... More

My husband and I live in Siena and find that any time we want a wonderful fine-dining experience, PorriOne is definitely the right place to dine. The food is exceptional, and their knowledge of wines delightful. We had one of the most fabulous progressions of wines ever just a few evenings ago with a dear friend visiting from the States.

Almost opposite Osteria Le Logge is Ristorante PorriOne - two of the best restaurants in Siena within yards of each other. We have been going there ever since they opened, re-visiting the sublime cooking of the lovely ladies who first beguiled us before the original owner sold up to travel the world. Today my husband had a starter that was... More

We were looking for a restaurant for lunch on Sunday. We were two friends who see each other once or twice a year. We were accompanied by my friend's daughter. We happened upon this restaurant and persuaded them that the three of us would be fine at a table for two. The restaurant was otherwise full. We chose the seafood... More

If you want to eat in an REAL restaurant, not a comercial place, chose Ristorante PorriOne because you will be surprise that only at few steps from Piazza del Campo you can eat so good. The food is great, service I can bet is the best in Siena and the place look magnific also inside but also at the terace.

The food is interesting and delicate. The service is friendly and accommodating. We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. I would highly recommend for a fine dinning experience.
