Great tour de force of Tuscan cuisine for 40€! Multiple courses and more than enough food. For 10€ more they will add three red wine selections to match the courses. If Tuscan wine is somewhat familiar territory - then I recommend you skip that option and just order a bottle of your choice. But... read more

We stayed in Siena 2 nights, and dined two nights at the Compagnia dei Vinattieri. We had lunch there too. First, the food is exceptional from a not too large menu. Secondly, the wine selection is the biggest I have ever seen, anywhere. Beautiful wines, even from the per glass offering. A very friendly and helpfuls staff. Make sure you... More

Located in the heart of old Siena, in one of the narrow streets, this place will surprise you by its authenticity. The setting is superb and the ambience is simple yet sophisticated. The food is of very high quality at a reasonable price and the wine... well the name of the place says to all. I already been there several... More

We were told about this place by a Sienese woman who rented us her apartment. She said that this is where the locals eat. She was right, there were a lot there the night we dined there. The service was very good although there were only two wait staff for the whole restaurant. We did not have a reservation but... More

There s not much wrong with the room and yet it looks faux. There not much wrong with the service and yet it feels robotic. There s not much wrong with the food and yet it feels soulless. And yet, much agaisnt all the afformentioned yets, I would go back again soon; its the wine! so much good wine, older... More

First, its a bit tricky to find. Second, make a reservation. Otherwise food was very tasty; traditional Tuscan with a flair. Chocolate cake to die for. Service started out brisk and and friendly then went a little downhill. (Perhaps because we did not order 3-4 courses each?) Atmosphere is excellent.

Had lunch here the other day. There was a large party and it was hard to hear ourselves because they were loud, but we decided to make the best of it. Had each an antipasto which was good and ok for the price, then a primo - I took pici and they were wonderful. He got lasagnette, the portion was... More

A wonderful fine dining experience in the heart of Siena. One of the "top four" dinners that we had on our entire two week trip across the country. Expertly prepared and delivered. Nice atmosphere. We aren't wine experts, but the waitress was very helpful in helping us to pick out something nice but affordable. We had three courses, wine and... More

Romantic dinner for two, 5 minute walk from Il Campo. 1 appetizer, 2 pastas, 2 prosecco, 1 bottle of wine, pecorino cheese and 2 glasses of Brunello was $110 CAD Pasta, wine, cheese, atmosphere and price were all great. Tagliatelle with truffles was excellent. This was a specialty pasta and more than the regular menu pasta due to the season.... More
