nice place

We went there for a dinner. The restaurant is lovely, stone, copper and wood are carefully mixed together, giving a beautiful atmosphere to the place. We arrived around 20, no reservation but we were allowed a table, providing that we would give it back by 21.30. Felt a bit weird as the restaurant... read more

This is a high end restaurant that delivers on its promise. White tablecloths, quiet and efficient service and plenty of customers - always a good sign. I can't remember exactly what I ate, but I do remember the menu was varied and tasty. I confess that I do remember the wine - a great Brunello from Montalcino - I can... More

Located on a less traveled side street with a non-descript entry, this restaurant has a very diverse menu of traditional Italian food and a setting that makes for a releaxed, upscale dining treat. Our service was very attentive but not overly so and it appeared there were several locals as well, so it is not a "touristy" place. Away from... More

We went with a friend who recommended this place to us during our stay in Tuscany and we weren't disappointed. Terrific meal reasonably priced with a great wine selection. the highlight of the night, though, was when we were invited by the restaurant owner, Gianfranco, to visit his centuries-old wine cellar, which was first excavated by ancient Romans for other... We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking in the Old Walled City. We looked at a number of restaurants and their menus and decided on this one. I'm glad we did. The Beef with Brunello immediately caught our eye as we had just tasted a number of Brunellos in Montalcino that afternoon We started by splitting a wonderful Fettuccine (although... More

We didn't have our regular sized meal having had a late lunch. We ordered two pasta dishes. Both were really good. Tagliatelle and Ravioli. Superb. We decided to have one entrée which we shared - braised beef with a brown sauce. didn't really knock our socks off. Service was attentive and good. Lots of tourists but that was ok.

Our hotel suggested we dine here for our wedding anniversary and I am so happy we did. This was by far the best experience we had dining in Italy. The service here is impeccable. They treat everyone as a valued guest. We opted for the 50 euro per person wine pairing with three courses. Everything we were served was delicious,... More

we booked in a group of 25, after along hard day of cycling Tuscany and the picturesque Val D'Orcia. The hospitality was excellent, with food and wines of the highest standards. A warm and traditional atmosphere, and very friendly staff,

It's a beautiful room with nicely spaced tables, beautifully-done place settings, attentive waitstaff and a varied menu. The fresh pasta with beef ragu and the sliced duck with peaches are both standouts. I do not recommend the rabbit because it was tough and full of gristle. The house chianti classico and brunello by the glass were both excellent and we... More

We got this restaurant recommendation from a local friend who knows her wines. The wine list is a veritable novella...so many choices. The food was delicious...our table enjoyed some beautifully presented starters followed by equally good primi and secondi. I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly. The desserts got similar raves with the exception of a marscapone with wild... More
