We picked this restaurant at random one evening, as an osteria the choice of wines is limited and no coffee, but the food and charming service more than makes for this.

Whether you crave handmade pasta, seasonal vegetables, or expertly cooked meats, this place is sublime. Marco is a master chef and he's created a charming osteria that serves innovative dishes rooted in the Tuscan tradition. Ate there twice with my brothers this summer and both meals were revelatory. The highlight of our dining in Italy.

Lets start with a very simple fact: this place is plain incredible. Not just because the portions are big (they are), but because all of the dishes envisioned by chef Marco Coradeschi are stuff you would pay an arm and a leg for in a premium gourmet restaurant. A true son of Siena and an enthusiast fisher, Marco displays full... More

We had the fixed price menu at lunchtime. It was great value with plenty to eat of a great quality. The restaurant is very friendly, professional and very well located, just around the corner from the Duomo.

After touring Siena all morning we selected this place based on Rick Steves guidebook. It is a small family operation with son (about 8 years old) on hand. Service was plain & rough but food was very good to excellent and we (2 couples) thought an excellent value. One couple each had pici and shared porcini cheese with fig jelly.... More

Sorry, poor review. Three failed attempts to eat here because of the wonderful reviews. Each time we were treated less than important. Whoever greeted us at the door was dismissive, impolite, ignoring, etc. it is simply not worth begging for.

It took ages until we could order and after 1 hour (!!!) we finally got the starter. After two hours we finally finished the secondi piatti, i waited again 15 minutes for an espresso, plus the waiter, I guess it's the Boss, was really unfriendly. The food was also below average and it was not really cheap! I wouldn't go... More

A lovely place, an authentic family-run osteria, in the middle of one of the most inspiring towns in Italy. The simplicity and lack of pretentiousness of this place are inversely proportional to the quality of the food, which we found (I write this review in English, but I'm Italian) outstanding. The service was also something worth appreciating - the right... More

Having read the Tripadvisor reviews we were really excited to visit this osteria. We popped in about 7pm and were told to come back at 8, which we did. The atmosphere was good and the meal started well. The rabbit mini gnocchi was delicious. However, it all fell apart when it came to the mains. The Pollo al diavolo was... More

This place is what I was looking for in Italy. It was cozy and had simple and delicious food. All that, and a great price. I will definitely come back.
