After a lot of workings a new management in one of the most beautiful corners of Siena.

A small courtyard which is accessed through a small gate in Vicolo del Campaccio 2, next to the Sanctuary of Santa Caterina, will take you on a culinary journey in the name of tradition and modernity.

Two young people with a great desire to experiment and invent propose a local and well taken bistrot with a various menu changing with the seasons. A lot of fish (always fresh) but also great meat, pasta and homemade bread, sweet temptations in name of quality.

Best food we had in Italy

Very intimate, non-tourist restaurant. My wife and I were in Siena for two nights from December 31st to January 2nd for our honeymoon. The food here was absolutely incredible and the staff were amazing. The waitress spoke english and they had gluten free options. They have only been open since June (we visited in November) but their service is impeccable and the setting was intimate. The waitress let us view their wine cellar and kindly spoke to us about the Sienese region. I... More

Il Campaccio was amazing. So amazing that we literally walked right back to our hotel to write this review. We could be wandering around the city, we could be drinking wine, we could be doing anything, but instead we're reviewing Il Campaccio. I was horrified to see such bad reviews, and then confused, because the dates were so far back... More

We found this little place by accident, and thank goodness we did. It is really intimate, only seats 20, and is reached by going down some steps into a walled courtyard, so you really feel you're hidden away. The food was delicious, and we were given a complimentary amuse bouche wit prosecco. Our waitress was lovely, she explained each dish... More

Our dinner group was drawn to this small restaurant tucked back down a quiet side street in Siena by the very intriguing menu choices listed on their menu board outside. None of the 6 of us were disappointed. The restaurant has only several tables and a staff of 3, which included the chef, his co-owner, and another wait staff. Wow... More

We happened upon this restaurant on our way to and from our hotel. We made a reservation and had a wonderful meal. The food was delicious, the service was impressive and, most of all, the setting was romantic, rustic and beautiful! We ate outside on the little patio at the bottom of the stairs. What an absolutely magical space! We... More

I first titled this review "a hidden gem" but then found many others have already used this description for Il Campaccio. Our dinner at Il Il Campaccio was the best we had during our 5 week tour of Italy. Their prices were typical of most tourist restaurants in Sienna but their fare was exquisitely different and edgy. Their rosemary pannacotta... More

A fresh take on traditional dishes and ingredients. Wonderful homemade bread and complimentary amuse bouche and glass of prosecco. Very imaginative food, beautifully seasoned and presented. Lovely server, fluent in English and patiently translated a menu featuring some offbeat ingredients. Lovely cozy setting. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

The lamb shank was so overcooked it was practically inedible. Everything was overpriced and nothing we ordered lived up to the prices. We were told it had some gluten-free options, but it had nothing gluten-free. Would definitely not go there again.

Hello, first of all, if you search on google “gluten free restaurants in siena“ we are the first options as - and I have told you when you come here- all our starters, all our second course are gluten free and we have gluten free pasta if someone prefer. All our prices are written outside at the entrance, the same... More
