So good we went back two days later

Hidden gem. Lovely waitress who speaks good English. Hand made dishes with about 4 options per course. Delicious pasta and the veal is like a t bone steak...Fantastic!

Being gluten sensitive takes me to some less than stellar locations. This restaurant is an exception to that rule. This was the best Italian food we experienced during our two week visit there in early August. Every aspect of our dining was exceptional, from the service, to the presentation, to the unbelievable food. You will not be disappointed. Prices were... More

This place is off the main tourist routes and might be difficult to find but its worth the effort. Its an intimate little place with delicious food and wonderful service. A complimentary prosecco was served followed by a complimentary aperitivo. Our pasta dish with tuna was nice but not spectacular. Perhaps a poor choice by us. The deserts were delicious.... More

I rarely say that everything was great, but this restaurant? Exceeded all my expectations. Let's start with the warm welcome and smile of the hostess which continues throughout our visit accompanied with very well explanations in English on reach dish. Everything there is home made. Everything! And you can taste it ! Most dishes are gluten free and they also... More

Fantastic restaurant that serves beautiful food made with fresh products, some home grown, home made. Beautiful decor makes this place perfect for a romantic meal. Service was absolutely superb! I don't have the name of the waitress but she was wonderful, very helpful and she made our evening even more special!

Do the piazza meal with a view for one night. Then get stuck into some top quality food served in an intimate environment, slightly off the city's well-trodden tracks. A short menu (a very good thing) with creative dishes, some interesting specials, superb service and ingredients selected from the chef's farm near Siena make for a superb dining experience.

A lovely hidden treasure in the cobbled streets of Siena. 4 courses and I didn't feel full! A lovely clean building with a lovely small patio outside. The waitress informed us that all the vegetables were from there garden and you could tell! Very refreshing food. The lasagne with zucchini (courgette) cream was delicious and the Tiramisu was to die... More

Went to this eatery by accident as The Palio was on at the time and some places were closed. Yum, we were both impressed with our lunch, both pasta, one with spicy rich tomato sauce and the other duck and olives. Half a litre of house red, bottled water, bread and coffees about 35 euros. We considered this excellent value... More

When we were trying to decide on restaurants, this was one I said was a 3 way tie for first choice. So we decided we would try lunch there. It's around the corner from Santa Domenico up from St. Catherine's Sanctuary. You enter the restaurant by descending a few steps into a private courtyard. There is inside dining but the... More

In a recent trip to Siena (June 2015) my wife and I chose to dine at Il Campaccio because we had read about it on a blog that was written by an international student studying at the University there. For years it has always garnered rave reviews as a high-end pizzeria. However, we learned that the restaurant had, that week,... More
