Been here years ago - was disappointed this time. I hope it's because we chose badly. Starter: zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta very greasy but served with roasted aubergine coulee which gave it some originality. Kids had various pasta dishes - pesto and ragu sauces brig the best. Main courses very small and at €20 very over priced eg maceral... More

We had lunch at Le Logge, having been with friends a couple of years ago for an excellent meal. This time the experience was nothing like as good for a number of reasons. When we arrived the table outside ( we booked ahead which is usually advisable) was on a busy corner with a lot of noise from passing people... More

We have visited this popular and charming old-school bistro just off the Campo numerous times over the years and made reservations for this return visit expecting to encounter as good an experience as previous ones. We were welcomed by the maître d', who knows us, and our party of 5 shown to a table outside but too near a busy... More

We went there after watching the rehearsals for the Palio, our meals were very good, service nice but not very fast (restaurant was full ...) and wine was very good. One very nice experience we would redo.

Right next to the Piazza Del Campo, the square where the Palio horse race is run, one would think being in such a tourist location the food would be mediocre and the service blase. At least in our case not so. We were here in August and the week of the Palio. The town was a zoo. One of the... More

A lovely restaurant located just behind Piazza de Campo on traffic free side street with tables both inside and out. Food is traditional Italian style well prepared and presented to a high standard with excellent service. This is my favourite restaurant in Tuscany and always make sure I visit here when holidaying in Tuscany. Definitely one to recommend.

Regarding the food, the entrées were very good, but the quail I ordered was undercooked, the desserts were just ok. The problem was that for a three course meal we took over two hours to finish, just because of the waiting periods. Other tables came and went and we just kept waiting for our dishes to appear. This was disappointing... More

At night, small tables overwhelm the walkway that leads to one of the town squares. Eating dinner out here is a magical experience. The food is hearty & classic-- nothing to crazy, but everything is extremely satisfying. The wines are delicious. Inside, beautiful art decorates a very comfortable dining room, and you can catch glimpses of the bustling kitchen inside.... More
