My partner and I had lunch in this quirky and character filled restaurant. We shared the combined starter with bits of everything, more than enough for the both of us. We then decided to sample the local wild boar stew (shared), it was amazing! Finished it off with almond cookies which came with a great dessert wine. Perfect lunch, we... More

Da Cice restaurant, in a street leading to the Duomo of Siena, is a typical Toscany restaurant, with the interior design executed with the due respect to the mentioned tradition. It is cosy, small, authentic, with good service, warm and cordial: the staff make you feel at home, welcomed, taken care of; the food is really good, home-made style, especially... More

The food was really good and the staff attentive. There were quite a few locals eating here which is always a sign of good food, which is reasonably priced with good service. I liked the ambiance and recommend this excellent restaurant without hesitation.

Our hotel recommended Osteria Da Cice to us for a good Tuscan steak. The restaurant certainly delivered! The restaurant was cozy and intimate and perfect for us. There appeared to be many locals enjoying the food and the festivities (it was 2 days before the Palio). Almost all the patrons were speaking Italian - a good sign to me. We... More

All I remember is a very greasy pappa al pomodoro and distracted staff. One of the least memorable experiences in Siena.

We ate here two out of the three nights we were in Siena and wish it had been all three! The service was friendly, gracious and attentive and the food was as good as any we had in Italy. It was very good value for money and the staff were very happy to give recommendations when asked. A delicious delight... More

We made reservations for an early dinner here and were glad we did, because it became crowded later on. Not noisy however. The service was excellent. We split the house antipasto of generous proportions. The rabbit I had was delicious. Good tiramisu to round off a very pleasant and good meal.

Our final of 3 nights in Siena and the best meal by far. We felt like a change from pasta and pizza and so chose steak in red wine and tarragon sauce and a wild boar stew. Both were full of flavor and extremely tender. The restaurant vibe is friendly and cosy without being cramped. Highly recommended.

Recommended by the concierge at Hotel Athena. This is a tiny, cute local joint with excellent food. The locals come here (a bit noisy) so you know it's good. Tried: antipasto da Cice (Pecorino, salted meats and bruschettas); scamorza with lard; tortellini with mint, Gorgonzola, and walnut cream sauce; Tuscan soup; spinach ravioli; panna cotta. Everything was absolutely delicious. As... More
