First person of the night. Was turned away at 6.55, open at 7pm I was told. Went back as I was recommended to go here. Had Carbonara, not the best, very greasy. Service wasn't with a smile and they were more interested in having conversations with each other oputside than taking any notice that I wanted to pay & leave.

I'm not sure how this place got good reviews. The staff took no notice of us, and when we did order they seemed constantly rushed. They chose to take orders off Italian customers before us, even though they came in after us. The menu was very misleading. I ordered beef in red wine on a bed of vegetables and received... More

Ate lunch at Osteria La Piana at the recommendation of our hotel. The house wine was very good. Ordered the pizza (have had better pizza in other places in Italy) and the Tagliatelli with porcini mushrooms. Service was just average as was the food.

This is a lovely buzzing welcoming place near the Porta di Camollia where we ate more than once during our stay in Siena. The food is fresh, authentic, well priced and delicious. We noticed other folk returning there - always a good sign! Our visit was a few years ago so hope it is still the same :)

We skipped our tour group's dinner at the hotel, and by using Google Maps and TripAdvisor, found this wonderful little place, in the Porcupine Contrade neighborhood. We got there just before they open, and when seated (@ 7 PM), were the only ones there for about an hour. Still, the service was good, and as non-intrusive as we came to... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a local and were so disappointed... Once we sat down and started to look at the menu, the angry waitress rolled her eyes at us because we hadn't decided after about a minute of sitting down. We asked for a recommendation and she just walked away. The food was quite nice but it seemed... More

Excellent food - the boar stew was fantastic & made us try 3 other version while in Italy, but this one was the best.

Excellent local place, far enough from piazza di campo to draw the locals (and us). Great value, had two pasta dishes, both very good, a nice pizza, a bottle of descent white wine from Tuscany and two espressos for under 40 euro. And the service was unusually warm and welcoming, really made us feel good. Our last meal in Sienna... More
