Best meal yet in Italy

After nearly 2 weeks in Italy this was our favorite meal to date. The tomato soup blended with bread was unique and delicious, the balsamic chicken was perfect, the chianti house wine delicious, the salad fresh. Prices were reasonable. We got a liter of wine and 2 courses and sides for under $50... read more

I was there with my boyfriend and the atmosphere was very unpleasant. This guy who was walking around like a crazy person was yelling all the time and we felt like we are not welcome at all. We just wanted to leave. The food was good but the aditud was really bad.

We were in this place on December 30, and after 45 minutes only we have been told to leave the restaurant to let other people in. Not pleasant at all, very low level of service, just avoid this restaurant, there are so many other places in Siena!

As the tittle says it's a great place to eat if you like decent, tasty Tuscan food. I don't eat meat and found my food to be very tasty, served with a smile and reasonably priced too. There are two parts of the Piana - the top one is bigger and a bit plusher. We loved the pana cotta so... More

In the entering of Porta Cammolia, not expensive like pizzerias near piazza del campo. A pizza for one person is about 7 euros, but it's huge. The waiter got my command wrong (brought me 4 fromaggio instead of 4 stagione).

First nights in a new City are always a little difficult, but have improved with Tripadvisor! We walked up and down a street near where we were staying and finally decided on this restaurant on the basis it was quite busy, but we would be able to have a seat outside without being right next to another customer. We both... More

The waiter was impatient, and his recommendations weren't good, and he forgot the wine we ordered (and forgot to bring us the menu again when we asked for it). The food was extremely oily, cheese was of relatively low quality. Atmosphere was good outside (although people smoked around us). Inside the A/C wasn't working well. Bathroom not very clean. Overall,... More

We choosed that restaurant because we were parked nearby and the comments on Tripadvisor were good. The service was not that warm (compared to Italian standards) but the food is good and the prices quite contained. As mentioned by several comments here, the customers are mainly locals. The room is quite tiny: maybe 7 tables inside including a big table... More

We had an amazing meal here. True, authentic Italian cooking. My daughter had the bruschetta starter and I had the capers salad. Both were delicious. The owner recommended and excellent bottle of wine from the region. My daughter had pici with meat sauce and I had ravioli with mushroom and truffle ragu sauce. Both meals were delicious. I saw people... More
