Yes, we actually ate here three nights in a row! It was that good. Between the three nights and also a little sampling of some friends food, we tried about seven different dishes and each one was excellent. The owner was friendly and staff efficient and the price was good. Loved this place!

Very tasty food in a romantic atmosphere. Was just across the street from our hotel and we were recommended by the concierge. Got local pork (Cinta Sinese) as well as beef. The pesto pasta was really tasty and the house wine was cheap and went down smooth.

A real gem (and nowhere near the over-priced eateries inside the city walls)! Delicious starters - beef tartare, figs with goats cheese and pine nuts, and mozzarella "sandwich". Freshly prepared pasta for the mains but all superb with fantastic sauces. Puddings were to die for: strawberry tiramisu and chocolate and orange tart with home made pastry worthy of Mary Berry.... We came here twice during our stay in Siena. We were attended to by a husband and wife team and the table service was excellent. The dishes and house wines are reasonably priced. Pastas are well cooked, with a shout out going to the Carbonara which was simply delicious. The meats are no slouch either whether served in appetizers or... More

One of the best meals we experienced in Tuscany. Figs with pecorino and pignoli nuts wrapped in bacon were so flavorful. Regional dishes were excellent. The owner was pleasant and welcoming, service was very good. Prices a good value. Drink the local wine!

We were staying at the Palazzi di Vali, about mile from the centre of Siena. Because of heavy rain we decided to have lunch at restaurant just across the road and it was a good lunch. Good local dishes, great salami and ham, excellent rich Tuscan "Pate" on focaccia, gnocchi with a roasted garlic sauce and good house wine. Service... More

The food was amazing, full to the brim and great value. Watch out for the mozzies, pesky creatures will eat you while you eat but my God, the food is excellent!

I went based on warm reviews in guide books, expecting traditional Tuscan cuisine, and despite wanting to like Fori Porta, left disappointed. Maybe it was because the pasta carbonara (in house style) although tasty was extremely salty, the tagliata was dry and had little flavour (I now do see a similar comment in a review below), the vegetables lacked that... If you don't feel like trekking inside the town wall of Siena, this is an excellent choice. Food and service was topnotch.
