We decided to forgo the beautiful views from the places on the Piazza del Campo for La Taverna di San Giuseppe, which was recommended to us. So, we had our aperitif in the Piazza first then made our way here! The food, service and quality were all excellent. We were lucky to get a table without too long a wait... More

My husband and I had lunch in La Taverna di San Giuseppe during a day we spent in Siena whilst staying in a villa nearby. We didn't do any planning in advance and just found this place on trip advisor when we got hungry, which was VERY lucky. The food was spectacularly good, the service was incredible and the setting... Make a reservation! It was fantastic and we loved everything we were served. Great atmosphere and a really cool cellar which they age meat and cheese in. If you're in Siena for just one night, this is the place I'd recommend if you're willing to shell out some cash. The food is great though so I thought it was worth... More

We honestly just STUMBLED upon this divine resto as we walked off the main square and desperately trying to find something off the beaten track. I thought we were at the end of the road with no real (tummy filling) light in sight, until right at the end of the street (coming from the Piazza) we came upon La Taverna... More

Our second day in Siena we ate at La Taverna di San Guiseppe. (you should book here because without reservations it is almost impossible to get a table) Every dishes we ordered were very good and the staff was very friendly. It is not really cheap, but the value for money you get is correct in this place. I can... More

we came here highly expecting a fantastic meal as this was one of the restaurants suggested and we researched on this place even before affirming in italy. we made ample reservations several days in advance as i heard the place is mostly packed on a daily basis. the restaurant is situated in one of the old mazes in Siena, once... This charming restaurant was recommended to me by a local, and I am so happy I listened. The atmosphere is wonderful. In the back of the restaurant are very romantic cave like seating, however anywhere you sit is great. The service is wonderful. The food is the best I have ever eaten in my life, really. I thought I knew... More

I was lucky enough to get a table here recently, fantastic service, excellent food and a great selection of wine. It's easy to see why this place has so many good reviews, it really is that good.

The highest rated osterio deserves its place. Great space, great service, great menu, superb wine list. Sadly, it's so popular that there are two sittings, 7pm to 9pm not offering enough time to savour the menu. Clearly, the "two sitting" rule is not universally applied as diners started after 7pm, and stayed after 9pm. The attentive staff are required to... More

Ate here on our Honeymoon. Was fantastic food, lots of nice reasonably priced wine (25 euro) to choose from. We shared steak and Lamb. Both beautifully cooked. They even dimmed the lights and put some music on at the end of our meal and the waiters and chef came out and surrounded our table and clapped and gave us a... More
