Nice dinner in Siena at Guidoriccio

Great food and really nice wine which the owner helped choose to match our food, he is passionate about Chianti and suggested a range of wine for us to select from. He talked us through the grape content, style of each plus how it would complement our food choice, the cynic in me was expecting the... read more

Nicely situated just a few metres down a side street adjacent to the town hall on the Piazza Del Campo is this gem of a restaurant. It was very busy the lunchtime I was there but the staff still found time to explain the daily specials as well as some items on the main menu.I settled for pici with a meat... The owner is a great character, and looked after our every need, from the time he welcomed us into his establishment, to the time we shook his hand on the way out. He proudly took our order, without the aid of a pad, and it all turned up correct, and to the right person. His wine recommendation was spot on,... More

We stopped here for lunch after a long drive from Florence and chose this place based on other TripAdvisor reviews. We ordered entirely from the daily specials - a pici with cheese and pepper, tagliatelle with meat sauce, and a spicy penne. Everything was delicious, and the owner was very friendly and came over to answer questions about the menu.... More

Lovely restaurant recommended to us by our B&B. Prices were low and quality was high. The owner struck up a conversation about amaro and brought our table some samples of a local artisan's product. A very warm and welcoming place to enjoy a meal in Siena, indeed.

We came here based on other tripadvisor reviews. First of all, Siena is magical but this place was truly amazing. The owner came over and asked if we had any questions about the menu. I asked him what he recommended for wine, appetizer, primi, and secondi dishes and told him to bring out whatever he recommended. The house red wine... More

The owner started by making us smile, and then guided us through all the specials to find us the perfect dishes and wine pairing, all with knowledgeable and patient explanations to enhance our understanding and enjoyment of the food. The food was delicious and desert was catered to our requests. An outstanding find right by the Piazza.

We stayed in Siena for a few nights and upon arrival, we had already begun to search for a good place to eat. We passed by this little gem several times but never actually went in until the night before our departure. It was such a good find and we regretted not coming here sooner. We ordered a mushroom stuffed... More

Small family run restaurant, delicious meats, cheese plates and pastas in a cave-like romantic setting. Lovely hosts and very reasonable prices.
