What a nice dinner we had. We were lucky to be at Guidoriccio today and take the advice of the owner (very very nice an pleasent person) and go for Tagliatelle Porcini. Just fantastic. They were fresh and just perfectly done. We also had a nice entry "Crostone" with Pecorino and Honey.....lovely combination. Excellent house wine and a very good... More

This is a very simple dining experience with excellent service. Unfortunately neither of us liked our main dishes (both pasta dishes) despite wanting to. Perhaps we just chose badly so I don't want to say don't go here, because obviously many other diners have had a great meal here. Maybe it was an off day but the service really was... More

We arrived late at Siena and we couldn't find a table at the Taverna we intended to dine. After walking around for a while we decided to try Ristorante Guidoriccio which is near Piazza del Campo although we don't like restaurants at the most tourist areas. The Guidoriccion restaurant was more than we expected and we enjoyed our dinner. The... More

We found this restaurant via trip advisor. In such a tourist area just of the il Campo this is a great find for a good quality reasonably priced lunch with people whom make you feel welcome. From the free appetizer a traditional Tuscan dish to the home cooked, rustic but good quality food including pasta and meat dishes were all... More

We went on the recommendation of Rick Steve's guide book and were totally amazed! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, with what looks to be extremely old bricks covering all sides, below, and even above you! We did not go down but there appeared to be an ancient wine cellar below as well. But the food is the star.... More

We've done a good bit of traveling, and have had some great dining moments, but this place stands out as maybe the best ever. Owner Ercole greeted with earnest warmth and honest joy, then took excellent personal care of us, the likes of which we'd never seen. We immediately knew why Rick Steves recommends this restaurant. I find wine and... More

When you are hungry and a tourist sometimes you pick poorly and other times you get a surprise worth remembering and writing about: Ristorante Guidoriccio. We had just completed a trip around the campo and photographing the fountain of Joy when we saw the dolphin light fixtures still on the walls of this alley from the horse race the day... More

We found this tiny restaurant perched on a side street off the Piazza Campo, thanks to Rick Steves, and decided to give it a try. The owner, Ercole, greeted us warmly and immediately brought us an amuse-bouche of a divine eggplant tomato mixture that was so yummy. We then both had a plate of homemade pappardelle with wild mushrooms and... More
