Average pizza - too much cheese, and poor quality cheese at that. Service was pretty rubbish - staff really could not care less. The setting was nice. Perhaps a more substantial meal is better but I believe there are far better places to eat in Siena.

Since there were four of us we split the first course. Our friends had been here and knew that the portions were large and that these split courses would be served on separate plates like we would get if we ordered for 1 person but smaller portions. Now, that I have been to several restaurants in Siena I enjoyed the... More

We enjoyed an authentic Tuscan dinner in the Old City. They make their own pasta and the wild boar is braised in red wine so it melts in your mouth. Service was friendly and menu has lot's of options.

My partner and I were on a day trip to Siena from Firenze. Having already had lunch at a fantastic hole in the wall pizza place and seeing as many bars/cafés around we're shut, we stopped at Trattoria Fonte Gusta for a coffee and dessert. We walked up past the menus, patiently waiting for someone to greet us. Two waitstaff... More

My husband and I ate here twice during our stay in Siena. This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff, and it was a very good recommendation! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals of pizza and pasta and loved the bustling atmosphere. It appears that many locals eat here, which is always a good sign. Very well priced, authentic Italian cuisine.... More

Much better than other places near the Campo. Bit more authentic. Very popular, good selection of dishes incl Pizzas. Quick service. Pici (home made pasta) with wild boar sauce on its own would be enough for the hungiest visitor!

Great value traditional local dishes, generous portions, and rustic atmosphere make this a good choice. If you go for lunch, go early as the line of locals is out the door. Try the wild boar.

Are here twice during my stay in Sienna. The first time solo on the recommendation of a local faculty member from the University of Sienna. With that meal I enjoyed a bottle of Chianti Classico (taking half back to the hotel with me) for a reasonable price of 11 Euros. The crostini with Lardo was excellent. The Tortoli with spinach...
