Food was good first visit, not as good the second time.

We had the specials on our first visit, ricotta and courgette ravioli with a creamy tomato sauce and the beef in Chianti, which were lovely. The second visit we ordered the ravioli again but were disappointed, the portion was smaller and it was not very warm.

Staying in San Gimignano for a week and sampled a number of restaurants, many of them serving simple Italian food but all provided tasty flavoursome dishes. This was the exception, and not in a good way! We both ordered Bruschetta to start, this came with tasteless tomatoes and no dressing turning a former favourite into prison food. We then ordered... Decided to try this restaurant because it was recommended in a Rick Steves guide, but also because it was getting glowing reviews from the TripAdvisor community. In any event the restaurant had a lovely outdoor area with tables and a big umbrella, but headed indoors as it was beginning to rain. There are a handful of tables on the inside,... More

After visiting San Gimignano five times, this is the first time I thought I would try this place. The owner is a strange guy with a sarcastic sense of humour, which is fine I suppose if you know him but thought it was a little rude. He didn't seem to approve of the fact that I was vegetarian and pulled... More

Little trattoria on tiny square. been there while there was some concerto of opera singing in Churchill next door, so the atmosphere was unique. Great food, pasta with truffles fantastic, didn’t go for Fiorentina as i was not ready for a kilo steak that late in the evening. Great panacotta with fruits. Plus a modest in numbers but great as... On the last night of our stay in the area ate at Trat Chiribiri on the recommendation of the owner of our farmstay. We were not disappointed! The pastas were delicious and genuine. The service was great. It's a small restaurant and very busy during the height of the season. It is recommended that you book ahead.

Been a number of times over the last 4 years and we have always enjoyed the food and qwerky owner. Originally there was only a small inside restaurant, which has subsequently had air con introduced and now has tables outside, which I highly recommend you book. Opens later than other restaurants and will fit you in if he can. May... More

Dined here one night while staying at San Gimignano. Although the food is decent, you can certainly find better, fresher fare elsewhere for the same price or cheaper. The staff is so ridiculously conceited it ends up being comic. I would avoid if I were there again.

The food was absolutely great. The service as you can read in other reviews is very unfriendly. We didn't particularly mind since the food was very very good. What we did mind, is that they charged our credit card 20% more than our actual total receipt. I didn't notice until later, and a place that does something like this, is... More
