Returned twice to this cute bistro

A small restaurant with a long history of serving very good food, reliable quality, and a good wine list. San Gimi was mostly closed during our winter visit. Only a couple restaurants open, but that didn't stop Chiribiri from serving very good food with panache and style. We happily returned a... read more

We arrived in San Gimignano at lunchtime on Easter Monday and the whole town was absolutely heaving with tourists - what a dreadful introduction to this charming town! All the restaurants were packed with queues of people waiting. Luckily we happened upon this tiny restaurant just up the steps to the right inside the Porta San Giovanni gate at just... More

This restaurant was recommended by a local from here..it definitely isn't a tourist trap, the prices are pretty good for the quality of the food. I had the lasagna and it was truly the best one I've EVER tried.. I can stress it enough. The restaurant is sma but cozy. I strongly recommend

Food was very authentic italian and reasonably priced. Got a wild boar pasta for 9.50€. My friend ordered a pasta with "wood" smell from the menu for 12€ which is actually simply mushrooms and truffle. Truffles was absolutely fragrant and we thought it was the best out of those we ordered.

March 8, 2015 10:05pm. If you do not look a certain way (not sure what that is), avoid this restaurant at all cost. The risotto and pasta are ok but the service was very poor and rude at best. The only good thing was that they were open later than the other restaurants in San Gimignano and their prices are... More

We were given a recommendation to dine here by the hostess of our B&B in Greve in Chianti. This place seats around 20 persons in a quite small room. You will hear other diners whispering to each other. They serve four different wines by the glass from a very modern wine preservation dispenser. We each orderd a pasta dish and... More

Good food, great atmosphere and nice ambience! Food is as anywhere around- steak Florentine, pasta, salad, etc., but the place is cozy, welcoming, service is no-rush( Italian style), wine is local and good. We ordered pappardelle with wild boar ragu and gnocchi; after yammy appetizers: burrato, crostini.. Wine was plenty and really good. We never got bad wind or meals... More

After traveling to San Gimignano from the Tuscan country side, and it taking much longer than we anticipated, we were both in a hungry state of mind and trattoria chiribiri saved the day! The "open no stop" sign greeted us as soon as we looked up the stairs on the left when you enter in the gates and after learning... More

We called into this restaurant for lunch whilst having a short visit in this medieval town as part of a private tour from a cruise ship. Our guide, Giovanni from Sunflower Tours recommended it. Let me say this is an excellent restaurant. We were a party of 7 and everyone thought the food was excellent.....tasty, well presented and very reasonably... More
