Small Room with Very Good Food

We were given a recommendation to dine here by the hostess of our B&B in Greve in Chianti. This place seats around 20 persons in a quite small room. You will hear other diners whispering to each other. They serve four different wines by the glass from a very modern wine preservation dispenser. We... read more

Good food, great atmosphere and nice ambience! Food is as anywhere around- steak Florentine, pasta, salad, etc., but the place is cozy, welcoming, service is no-rush( Italian style), wine is local and good. We ordered pappardelle with wild boar ragu and gnocchi; after yammy appetizers: burrato, crostini.. Wine was plenty and really good. We never got bad wind or meals... More

After traveling to San Gimignano from the Tuscan country side, and it taking much longer than we anticipated, we were both in a hungry state of mind and trattoria chiribiri saved the day! The "open no stop" sign greeted us as soon as we looked up the stairs on the left when you enter in the gates and after learning... More

We called into this restaurant for lunch whilst having a short visit in this medieval town as part of a private tour from a cruise ship. Our guide, Giovanni from Sunflower Tours recommended it. Let me say this is an excellent restaurant. We were a party of 7 and everyone thought the food was excellent.....tasty, well presented and very reasonably... More

It seems like it should be a tourist trap--right inside the city walls, open continuous hours-- but this place is the real deal. Delicious, authentic cuisine. We ate there 6 times during our 8-day visit to San Gimignano, and we regretted the meals we didn't eat there. Great stracotto, osso bucco, and crespelle. I could eat their panna cotta every... More

We had two dinners here while visiting Tuscany. Both expreiences were enjoyable, bith on the culinary side and the service side. We had servers and managers (owner?) who took special notice of us, and everyine els ein the intimate dining hall, and the dinner left us full and satisfied. This place is by no means a gourmet place, but it's... More

We fortunately arrived early after recommendation from our Italian friends, and got a table, but the restaurant soon filled. We started by having two sharing platters, between the four of us, followed by pasta, and then finished with desert. It was all of a high quality, as was the house red wine. The service was very friendly, yet efficient. As... More

We had been staying with Italian friends and decided to stay in San Gimignano on our return journey to the airport at Pisa. Our friends recommended this trattoria and we looked in through the doors to a very small bright little restaurant. You will need to be friendly with the other diners should you stay! Tables are centimetres apart, other... More

We think this restaurant has the best ragu of anywhere we have eaten in Italy. That's all I can say. The pesto sauce was also terrific.
