We stopped at Enoteca Gustavo Mescita Vini by mistake as we were viewing some art in the art shop two doors up, Anyway I'm glad we stopped as the had delicious ham paninis all washed down we a glass or two of vino. In the shop we also purchased some panforte bianco as souvenirs. Altogether a lovely place.which I would... More

Into the super touristic but also very beautiful San Gimignano this is something different, sit on this place, especially outside and order great bruschetta, cheese & cured meats. It's cheap (20-25€ for 2) and you can drink a typical Vernaccia. Staff doesn't speak english but they are honestly friendly. Nice spot for rest & light meal all day

Fantastic platter of mixed bruschetta for lunch, with tomatoes so sweet you'd think they were grapes in a blind taste test. The sun-fried tomatoes were wonderful too, as was the rest of it, along with a nice glass of wine to wash it all down. It was great to sit outside on the precariously angled street and watch the world... More

Great place for some great tasting wine and food in unpretentious setting. The bar man put together some really tasty ham and cheese. Would recommend.

The food is prepared at the moment by the owner of the place. Good wine and delicious bruschetta with sun dried tomatoes. Outside tables so you can appreciate the greatness of this medieval town.

We walked by this place while sightseeing and shopping early in our day. Looking at what people outside were eating, we made a mental note of the location and planned to return for lunch. Delicious panini toasted with melt in your mouth gooey cheese oozing out of the fresh crunchy bread. Panini was never better anywhere we travelled in Italy.

We were looking for a place to dry off from the rain......but still we wanted to find the 'right' place - so we passed many - and found this....rain or shine Gustavo is a great choice.

San Gimignano is one of our favorite towns in the region, and we have stayed and day tripped countless times. I am embarrassed to say that this recent visit was the first time that we stumbled across Gustavo Mescita Vini, but I promise you that we will return soon. Unfortunately, we had already had a lovely lunch somewhere else and... More

Fast Food with Style-Enoteca Gustavo is like stepping into the past and feeling totally welcome there! Salvatore takes great care of us everytime we drop in! He has great wines and always manages to create some wonderful plate of delicious snacks. There is no menu, but prices and plates are described on boards that hang from the walls. Just go... More
