the food was good overall, and is good for a sit-down after a day of walking, but it's not amazing, per se. wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but the service was good!

We have now had lunch here on two separate occasions ... Gennaro has a fantastic restaurant and pizzeria! Today our group (8) had pizzas and risotto cinghiale! This is where we will eat in San G.! Thank you, Gennaro & Giovanni!

We visited the restaurant twice. The first evening was a Saturday and it was incredibly busy so gave them the benefit of the doubt as we practically had to trip the waitress up to get a second drink. The second evening was mid week and there were fewer customers and staff. Locals/Italians clearly get preferential service. The male waiter was... More

I visit this restaurant three days in a row just for the Firorentina. Amazing meats, antipasti and a very good selection of wines at a very modest price. The retaurant is managerd by the wine association of Siena so they have good wines at good price, you may order wines off the manu by box and get a discount. I... More

Average meal at best, overworked staff with only 2 on floor to serve too many tables- This restaurant was not a highlight of S.G.

We had dinner here and can only describe the service as very ordinary. Try getting served y ou think you are invisible. Another couple sitting next to us just could not get served, I asked for help for them twice. Try and get the account and waited and waited. Went to the reception, paid and gave no tip. Cannot recommend... More

During an extended winter stay in the area we ate in here once and had a few take-away pizzas. Always great staff willing to tolerate our poor Italian, good value and excellent quality food, would definitely recommend it.

We ate here for lunch when visiting San Gimignano. The restaurant is located at the piazza just outside of the walls of San Gimignano. Service was quick and very friendly. Lots of locals. I had eggplant with juicy tomatoes, basil and balsamic as an appetizer followed by a pizza. The appetizer was delicious with very fresh ingredients. The pizza was... More

We ate at this restaurant with friends during our recent stay in San Gimignano. We did need to book. It was recommended to us by the owner of the Podera we were staying at. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and explained clearly the various dishes and how they were cooked. We sat outside and really had... More
