A tranquil spot one block off a busy shopping street, Recommended by the wine museum; a great choice. Ate here twice. Portions generous; we split each course between two and enjoyed excellent regional wines. Staff helpful and friendly. They remembered us on our return. Food fresh, beautifully presented, served well and without undue delay.

Actually quite close to the centre of San Gimignano, but quite concealed, this is a hidden delight. The atmosphere is tranquil and unhurried (we ate outside). The service is good, but unobtrusive. Although not expensive, there is a slightly up market feel to this place. The first course and main courses were excellent. The wild boar stew was divine. The ravioli... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and chose the restaurant for dinner on our third night. Fantastic three course meal for €20 plus wine extra. Service was superb without being overbearing. Food was unique compared to the really excellent restaurants we chose for other nights (Peruca and Mangiatoia), with excellent homemade pasta dishes and great meat secondo's. Highly recommend.

Walk the narrow via Diacceto north from Piazza delle Erbe, and you will find this hidden gem on your left hand side after a few minutes. Walk up the stairs, sit down in the garden overlooking the Tuscan rooftops, and feel the ambience and silence! We were 15 people for lunch, and had a fantastic experience! As the host for... More

My wife and I ate here tonight Initial waiter, old Italian guy: smelly & rude Second waiter, young Afro-Caribbean guy: Nice Wine was decent, we had the half bottle of house white Appetiser was average, tomato bruschetta was nice, cheese was nice. For the main, I went for lamb, my wife went for the Tuscan sirloin of beef and both... More

This was tricky to get to because it's not within centre of the town and the address in our lonely planet guide book still reflected the old address. Nevertheless, after an hour of searching and asking the locals AND a lot of determination we found it and it was a pleasant restaurant in an even more pleasant surroundings. Perhaps we... More

You have to look outside the "tourist track" to find this excellent restaurant. We had an excellent lunch with a 3 course meal including wine, esperesso and grappa for 32 €uro per person. And that was absolutely value for money! You can let the waiters recomend wine for your food, you won`t regret it :-)

Very good meal, antipasta carpaccio and local cheeses. Pasta ravioli with artichoke and Tartufo / truffle very tasty, and then lamb with artichokes, all very good, dessert was tasteless unfortunately but all round good experience.
