Good acceptable first dishes, with acceptable quality but terrible main dishes, far below expectations and over priced. Poor service ... We paid a portion as double, although it was for only one person.....

A local shop owner recommended this restaurant. Was full when we arrived, mostly locals which is good. The food was very authentic with some dishes that I did not recognize. Service was a bit slow, yet friendly.

This restaurant has a quaint feel and the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed the gnocchi with porcini and tartufo. Our son's papaderle con cinghiale was the best he's had so far and our daughter's beef tagliata was grilled to perfection.

Great restaurant with excellent service! We had dinner with our friends and managed to get the table without reservation, but reservation is recommendable: there was long queue behind the door waiting to get in. Excellent sommelier! Our main course was a bit of a disappointment but starters, antipastis and desserts were great.

We ate here late on night when we wanted a light meal. We had to wait about five minutes until a table became free. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only had one course each, but what we had was excellent. We would eat here again.

I have to say, my husband and I enjoyed our food and our wine, but the main problem we had here was the heat. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and it was SO hot inside that my husband nearly passed out-- I think we ended up drinking about 6 bottles of water before either of us... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for local food. We were not disappointed, it is set in a charming room with great ambiance, the service was excellent, the waitress recommended the perfect wine to match our meals. The highlight was the fagottini with pear, pecorino & pine nuts, closely followed by a mouthwatering steak cooked to perfection and also the mushroom... More

Having been turned away by highly reviewed restaurant we headed here. The restaurant which was full and tables quite tightly packed in some places was lovely. A nice atmosphere and extremely good service. I would push anyone to let the staff recommend wine pairings with your chosen meals. Food was excellent, one of the nicest meals we had travelling through... More

We ate here on our 1st night in San Gimignano and whilst it was good, we didn't feel compelled to go back. The food was good - mixed antipasti as a shared starter, followed by large portions of pasta each. My main and my wife's were very different temperatures, so I'm not sure if one had sat around waiting for... More

Chose here based on TA reviews and very disappointed. We were the only people in the restaurant for quite a while and neither of us enjoyed our meals. I had steak which was chewy and flavourless whilst husband had wild boar cooked in red wine which was very salty and dry ( no sauce) the roast potatoes we ordered to... More
