We sought out this restaurant on the basis of the TA ratings and comments and were delighted that we had done so. It's off the main drag in San Gimignano, and all the better for it. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff friendly and hospitable. The food was superb - one of the three of us chose the pasta with... More

Excellent food in a cosy location, it felt a little cramped and hot the night we went but the food makes up for it. Faggotini are just superb as is the mushroom gnocchi. Really good value too. You really need to reserve a table beforehand, something we did on the way out for our second visit to try more of... More

My husband and I passed by San Gimignano to see it. Beautiful town! And it was starting to become late, so I did my research and found gkod reviews about Peruca. We found our way to it. And the moment you come in into this restaurant you know you've found a gem! The restaurant was packed with locals ! We... More

We had the chance to check this restaurant out in our stay in San G. The food was flavoursome, I had Gnocchi Pasta and it was well portioned. The service was good however it was not very busy on the night we went. It's authentic as one would expect and for two persons the cost was less than 50euro.

The food was excellent however the service was lacking. The waiter served other italian speaking guest first. He took our order and that was the last time he spoke to us. They did not provide the bread until we asked. We then had to ask for oil and balsamic vinegar as they did not bring it with the bread. Very... More

We ate at Ristorante Peruca last nite. First impression was that it is relatively small (20 tables?) cozy spot. We sat at a table next to the stairs going down to the wine cellar. The waiter recommended an excellent chianti, and was obviously skilled in serving wine. The insulate caprese and the risotto were very good. Sliced steak with mushroom... More

Very nice place, good atmosphere and friendly staff. We came with a baby and they heated her food for us and had a baby chair ready. Best mushroom gnocchi I ever had!

Recommend Tuscan steak (baseball cut) only 16 euros. Chianti Classico Reserva (Draco 2011) can buy it in San Gimignano - first building on right when entering the center (Enoteca Corsi) for 12 euros.

Good location, simple Tuscan food cooked well. Can get very crowded (with Germans!) so booking is recommended. Variety of food to choose from guarantee you can find what please you. Good service, normal portions.

A really nice restaurant, I was two evenings, I would recommend booking. the dishes are great I tasted the "wild boar" truffles and wines. I recommend the restaurant for those who want to taste the flavors of Tuscany quality and price are excellent.
