Excellent views

We have visited San Gimignano 3 times and have had dinner here 3 times. The views are fantastic and siting outside is a really great experience. The food the first time was very good but only ok the 2nd and 3rd time (Sep 12th 2014) and again service ok. But highly recommend for the atmosphere... read more

We were looking for a place to eat having wandered around San G for a couple of hours upon arrival here. We stumbled across this restaurant as it is a little off the beaten track on the back streets. When we arrived it looked pretty busy but the waiter made space for us. We were sat outside on the terrace... More

We booked a table for 12-14 people for dinner. The place certainly did not disappoint. After all the positive reviews we were pleased that that it lived up to its reputation. Beautiful views over the Tuscan country side. The sun was setting and you get the point! The staff coped really well with our large group as most of us... More

We visited San Gimignano twice because my nephew and niece insisted that we return to this restaurant!!! The view alone is worth the return… exceptional panoramic views, excellent service, excellent foods. The breads were wonderful as were all the pasta dishes. Recommend the local specialties, including the wild boar. Follow the signs from Centro and eventually you'll find it… better... More

The location is perfect with a fantasic panoramic view over the area. The food an wine is good an very classic italia. The price is okay with that view. The staff is friendly, but the service is slow. We think it is because of the many gusts and a kitchen, that can not keep up. But if you have the... More

Le Vecchie Mura was chosen because of it's gluten free options. They offered homemade gf bread, pizzas and pasta. My gf pasta did not disappoint. My son also got the local specialty..wild boar. It was not gamey, and also surprisingly very tasty and extraordinarily tender. This was one of my son's top meals the two weeks he was in Italy.... More

Based on reviews in trip advisor we made a reservation to sit on the terrace for dinner and were glad we did. We arrived just before sunset and enjoyed the view. The food was good but for some reason our waitress seemed annoyed all evening and was not very pleasant. Despite that we still enjoyed the pasta dishes.

Came across this restaurant when we were walking around the back streets. Beautiful terrace over looking the countryside, we arrived early and had no trouble getting a table at the front of the terrace, however half an hour later there were no free tables! We ordered the bruschetta which was the best, as were the pasta dishes we tried. Local... More

Very good food, excellent local wines, attentive service and an amazing view from the terrace. Modern, attractive interiors. We were impressed that they also serve gluten-free pasta. WiFi Internet access that forces you to Facebook-like Le Vecchie Mura (but I would have the liked the place anyway). Recommended!

Based on a recommendation from our Agriturismo operator, we dined here twice during our one week stay. Excellent both times. Even if the food wasn't good we would have liked it since we were outside on the terrace with the million dollar view! We came here on our first night here and closed out our stay with another visit. We... More
