This is a great place to have a pasta or pizza while visiting San Gimignano. It's close to one of the parkings outside the city walls, and just 300 ft away from the way leading to the main square. The pastas were excellent, the service was nice, there were live musicians playing very well nearby at the piazza and it... More

Suggested by a retail merchant so we were initially suspect. Frequented by locals and visitors alike as it is a little off the beaten path. The pici with leaks was great and my wife's pasta was equally great. The pana cotta was also very good. Say away from the tourist food - pizza and pasta with red sauce and you... More

Located in a square right next to Church of Sant Agostino we found this to be the quieter area of san Gimignano. We have a nice relaxing lunch while sat in the sun. Food was excellent with good service all away from the main throng of tourists.

Great location, away from the crowds. Right next to Church of Sant Agostino (which is great, definitely worth a visit, Fresco work is amazing) in the square. It was a chilly evening, so we ate inside, but several people ate outside. Food was good. Kids loved the pizza. Adults had pasta. Good house wine. Service was friendly. They even bring... More

My wife stumbled upon this place when we were exploring the side streets of San Gimignano. We both thought this place was delicious. The appetizer board with meats and cheeses is highly recommended. I wanted to try something new and had the pappardelle with wild boar sauce and was not disappointed. We both recommended this place.

If you are looking for a tranquil restaurant in San Gimignano, this place is well worth finding. It is the wonderfully peaceful piazza in front of the Church of Sant Agostino, a few minutes walk from the main busy streets. The tables are a little too close together and the restaurant is understandably very busy but we feel it is... More

We were staying in San Gimignano and after two nights were beginning to feel like we were in a tourist factory so were very relieved to happen upon this unpretentious little restaurant on our day of departure. When we sat down only one table was taken - by the time we left an hour of so later the place was... More

San Gimignano was overcrowded on market day when we wandered away from the main bustle and found this super restaurant. It is in a lovely, quiet square - despite being the piazza dominated by the church of the same name (also worth a visit) but it was perfect to get away from the crowds, sip our wine and enjoy a... Saw this place one lunchtime busy with locals - always a good sign. Went back to check it out for ourselves for an evening meal and found it to be one of the best eating places of our trip (including great restaurants in Florence, Siena, Lucca, etc etc). Great service (including complimentary liquors), very good choices for children (although they... More

Found by accident, we were happily surprised by this place. On the beautiful terrace, I had a wonderful bruschetta with funghi porcini and truffle, my other half a very nice "torte de spinaci" with bechamel and pecorini. And then: tagliata! Beautiful sliced steak with heaps of parmesan and rocket, it was delicious. Including some wine and water, the bill got... More
