Great View and Good Food & Service

We have been to San Gimignano before and admired the view out of the restaurant' expansive windows. It is right on the main street so we knew it would get filled for lunch or dinner. 7 of us turned up at this excellent restaurant for lunch - unfortunately we had not booked so we were not near the window - bit the views really are 'Wow!' We drank an excellent rosė and ate the most wonderful food. A fortnight later, I am still fantasising about the best mushroom risotto I have ever eaten. All of... More

I know pasta is suppose to be cooked "aldente" but when I had their signature cabonara pasta with truffle, the pasta wasn't biting back.. cos i couldn't bite in! anyway a bit disappointed. my wife's pappardelle with wild boar was great though and the view is absolutely fantastic.

This is part of a hotel but no worse for being so. The restaurant is quite large (in Tuscan terms) with an intimate seating area towards the entrance and a more open area towards the rear. A large plate-glass window (and I do mean large) affords stunning views over the Tuscan countryside and if you're fortunate enough to be seated... More

While in San Gimignano on a tour from a cruise, we bought a picture from a local art shop and asked the owner for a recommendation for a place to eat. She suggested Ristorante Bel Soggiorno. She said it was a bit more expensive, but worth it plus a view. She was right on...probably some of the best lasagna I... More

Simply the best risotto I have EVER tasted in my life. It was truly memorable for flavour, basically exquisite and the others who had it agreed. This was just a superb experience - the Staff and the chef were awesome. They paid our group of 7 so much attention and care, we simply loved our visit. Highly recommend to travellers... More

We went to this place twice - the first time we wandered in off the street on our way into town at night, and the second time we had reserved to get a window view. On both occasions, the service was extremely friendly and efficient, and we enjoyed our meals immensely (the first night was amazing - the second more... More

I can't understand some of the later reviews we read. We arrived without a booking and were given a great table. The food was amazing, the wine list extensive and the service excellent. Great atmosphere. Some of the best food we have had in italy and exceptional value. Absolutely brilliant!

I found this place on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. 3 couples for lunch and all I can say is Wow! Food and Service was amazing. This place has floor to ceiling windows with the most beautiful views. The food is fresh and authentic. The Suckling Pig was a popular choice with our 3 men and... More
